About Darylmt

  1. Recently i got overhappy with the accelerator in first gear, i redlined the car to the extent that my engine management system shut down the engine for a second, it felt like i had just hit a wall as i was thrown forward with some force. Anyway, since then the car was fine for a couple of weeks but has since had the engine management warning light flash several times then finally decided to stay on. I took it to JEMcar in north london who, after days of having the car, told me there were no electrial faults and it was a mechanical fault. They then proceeded to strip the timing belt as i was told it was not in the correct position causing the misfire in cylinders 1 & 3. However since getting the car back my engine management light has continually been flashing under acceleration and last night finaly stayed on again. The misfire is the same as before. It must be said the car can be felt to hesitate under acceleration so i think it is definately misfiring. Can anybody help?!!
