  1. Has anyone on here had experience with Nationwide crash repair centre in chartham in Kent??? Or does anyone know how good they are, its the one my insurance company are reccomending and they say they will wave my excess if I go with them. Its not a big deal if I dont because I can afford the excess and will get it back, just seems pointless if their recomended place is going to do a top job. Any advice before tomorrow would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance! Leigh
  2. This morning I had a guy look straight at me as i drove past him on a dual carriageway. As he looked at me he gave me the finger and rammed the side of my car!!!! He then got out wanting to 'sort it' now shouting and swearing. Said I was on the phone to the police, the operator could hear him in the backround. I was in my works uniform so didnt want to get involved in a fight and get the sack so said we can sort it when the police get there. 15mins later after more threats I phone them back, 'oh, a car will be on route soon sir', a further 30mins later I phone to say thanks for the effort, but he has driven off now!!! Old bill turn up 50mins after initial call. Many thanks goes to them!!!
  3. Well i replied. Hope i'm right in my understanding of the use of motorways!!! Why would you put a pace car in the third lane of the motorway??? It was my understanding that the correct use of a motorway was: Lane one is the driving lane Lane two an overtaking lane Lane three a further overtaking lane You were then meant to move to the driving lane once you had performed your overtaking manoeuvre!! On the continent this is also the case and is widely practiced and works very effectively to prevent major congestion and lower stress levels for frequent users. Surely this new trial is just encouraging the incorrect use of our motorways. Would the money not be better spent on educating people on their correct use and having the police enforce this. Surely safer use of the road by the majority would be a more effective way of tackling accidents rather than tackling a smaller number of speeders. You never know, better use of the road by everyone, which would leed to less congestion, may actually help lower the speed of many drivers!! Leigh Robson (Regularly stuck on the M25)!!
  4. oops, can you ever trust people when ya drop ya car off, seen mine dissappear off down the road after havin some wheels fitted.
