Thinkinig in buying one of these as a weekend toy as they look like the awsome rally machines! What is the story with the gearing in them I have heard they only do 115mph is this true? Could I have some feed back from some owners of them? Cheers

Thank you bud that is quite helpful. Am i right in saying that the v-ltd models have got a longer final drive to make them do 150mph+? I also heard that the big end bearings go on the sti engine all the time but don't know if this is gospel?

Hi folks I'm just new on here, I am currently on the hunt for a scoobie after ownership of celica gt4's for the past few years. The subaru I have in mind is a 2 door version 5 sti type r or the version 6 type r but I don't know anything about them can I get as much info about good and bad points about owning one and running one? I have been emailing fonzy of here about his it looks great and I would love to own it but I have heard too many horror stories about these cars. The other car I had in mind which I like is the uk300 bug eyed model can someone give me some info on these? Or anyone that is selling there's? Thanks Scott
