Not yet but they do feel hard and brittle. What size are they? i was also thinking the diaphram in the actuator maybe?

I have a my97 sti v3 and the engine check light is on the dash, the car seems to fuel cut at 4500rpm. I hooked a boost gauge up to the car last night and it's peaking at 1.6 bar on a standard car surely this isn't right? The car has no boost controllers or bleed valves, alsomade sure the actuator arm was moving freely and its ok. I checked the codes on the ecu and it's showing 24 and 33. 24 is idle control solenoid and 33 is vehicle speed sensor. I replaced the idle control solenoid, replaced the boost control solenoid andalso replaced the maf sensor and the fault is still occuring. Has anyone ever experianced this before or know what I should be looking for?

After getting code 24 and 33 and the engine check light coming on, I have replace the idle control solenoid and the codes are still showing. I am a bit stuck and very reluctant to take it to my local subaru dealer. Any suggestions folks?

also if this idle valve failed or was sticking would it make a ticking noise?

Silly question, is the o ring rubber? Going to take it off on saturday and have a look. Done a search and this seems to be quite a regular occurance on imprezas.

would an induction kit bring these faults up? The car had a kit fitted then put back to the standard airbox. Any suggestions?
