  1. SMERT! Whats happening at kames on sunday?
  2. Keep it m8! I nearly bought this car before you and it was fantastic to drive then! I'm sure it's even better with the mods you have done! Get rid of the 18's and get some light weight 17's with some sticky track rubber.
  3. I heard it was for sale
  4. yeah and that will be about 50 quid too
  5. £150 thats pretty good for labour
  6. How much do they charge for labour on a clutch change? £400 I supose is retty decent considering the cost of the pulleys
  7. Euan didn't u take the engine out to do the clutch?
  8. £400 thats Crazy!!!!!!!! I've been quoted £170 so far but would rather do it myself. My head is all over the place, I was going to sell it and not bother with a car but I think I would go mad! But I also need to save cash for my wedding! As it is just now I'm keeping it and doing some maintenance on it.
  9. Thats the car off the road for the winter and was thinking on doing some work to it. Has anyone done the timing belt or clutch themselves and how easy is it?
  10. it stared in one of those also, was it called beasts from the east?
  11. OOps just read your post
  12. here is the link http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/445645.htm

  14. I test drove my new 96 sti ra last week and I love it!
  15. This car you are looking at sounds exactly like the one I've bought, infact it sounds 100% the same.
  16. Saw both these cars in at s&s today, look very nice indeed!
  17. but why the over boost? I don't understand
  18. Well still no joy! Tested my actuator and that was ok. Took the vac hose off with the brass restrictor and put a straight bit of hose on and reset the ecu, I was only getting 8 spi of boost but the check engine light came back on which proves that what ever is bringing the light on is also causing the highboost pressure, could it be sensor related? I am still getting the same fault codes, could the speed sensor do this?
  19. Hopefully be sorted soon
  20. Found the brass restrictor! Just got the hose to the dump valve to replace think I'm going to fit a bailey dv26 while I'm in there reset the ecu then take it out and see what I'm getting. Won't have time to try it until tomorrow night as I'm just in from work. Some of the hoses were really slack and some brittle. Took it out a run last night without he restrictor and as suggested I was only getting 7 psi so I think I am headed in the right direction! Fingers crossed
  21. I have just replaced all the vaccum hoses there on the car, never noticed any splits or cracked bits but the silicone hose feels a tighter fit. As for the small brass restrictor where is this located as I never came across one? Just going to do the one from the dump valve then take the car a run.
  22. Ok cheers mate. This would cause the rise in boost pressure if one had came off or had a break in it?
  23. Is that the vaccum hoses or the ones on the boost side?
  24. Thats what I Thought! Oh dear can't believe its 1.6 bar!
  25. Buy a classic better heritage
