At around 5am I awoke to a loud noise followed by shouting and swearing. 3 people broke into my house by throwing a large stone through my double glazed window. They found the keys to the car (which were I think on the table). I chose not to go downstairs and phoned the police while they were downstairs. The car was driven away, the police say it was last seen in Brighouse.
I have a ?block?, a ?knife block? and they took the shortest knife out of the block. This was left on the table. The police say they probably would not have used it because it would have become a much more serious crime.
Everybody is okay in the house , we have all stopped shaking now. the night detective came in about 20-30 minutes and I can expect a visit by police officer today and a civilian assessing the damage.
Do not want the car back now especially if it is damaged because no doubt they will have driven it hard and do not feel like having one outside my house at the moment.
