OK maybe it's time for me to add a few words from watching this forum over the last few days
For me to stand down as Kent Scoobies Regional organiser was a extremely difficult decision for me to make, I've been part of KS since i got my car new in March 2004 and have become friends with some brilliant people and it's been great fun and a lot of laughs 99% of the time
When i joined KS Pele run the whole show with her husband and did a great job, a large majority of members were also paid SIDC members and whenever we went to show or event run by the SIDC Pele would make sure everyone had there membership card and membership was up to date otherwise you didn't go and i don't seem to remember anyone complaining about the setup, the SIDC has been a great home for KS and they never pressure anyone to be paid members although of course they would like you to be
The last thing i want is for KS to turn into a ghost town, i became RO because i have a passion for this club and a lot of members suggested i should take the role on as for various reasons Pele was unable to give it the time it required, i enjoyed being RO very much and hope i did a good job for you all and as they say "never say never" maybe i would be RO again if members wanted me to be
Now to the serious bit Politics, well i don't give a f*** about politics (sorry buts that the only way i can explain it), all i wanted from this club was to go to events or shows or trips out as Kent Scoobies and have a good time, get on the forum and have some good banter with fellow members and have a laugh but just recently it's just got so depressing, when i stood down i knew some members were also unhappy with the club but didn't realise so many
At the end of the day it's just a car club so let's not to too serious about everything and just have a bloody good time
Ian
