  1. Would you believe it, the same thing happened to me today. The car was unlocked, i was in the garden then the car locked itself. I will call Subaru on Thursday and let you know how i get on.
  2. I have a 55 plate WRX and i have noticed that once in a while (once a week) i go to my car and press the unlock button on the keyfob and the car locks. Obviously this means the car has been left unlocked however i have been sure i had locked it when i left it. Anyway i was in the garage this week looking for bits and pieces and my car unlocked itself. The key was in the house and i was using no electrical / radio equipment. Im very worried. Is this a known problem or does anyone else have a similar problem. I know if i take it to Subaru (it is still under warranty) i won't be able to replicate the problem. Hope this makes sense, any help appreciated.
  3. Does anyone know if the dealers are obligated to fit the other suspension leg ?
  4. Hi everyone, question / advice needed. My 55 Plate Impreza was making a clunking noise when pulling off in first gear. I was unsure where the noise was coming from but suspected a suspension / dry joint problem. It was due for 2nd service (20,000) so i mentioned it to the Scooby Dealer. On collection of the car basically they said the front suspension was broken and had fitted a new one. Great i hear you say BUT now when i pull off (the noise has gone) the car seems to lean over to one side slightly. Also it seems a bit "loose" now when cornering. Now the question, im presuming that the reason is that the car is now not balanced correctly due to the new front suspension. I have spoken to the dealer and asked if he can replace the other front suspension to correct the problem but they said no. Anyone know where i stand on the issue ? Thanks in advance for any answers
  5. I have a 55 plate (December - not the new shape) standard WRX. Looking to possibly get a PPP for it. Any advice appreciated such as a) is it worth it? cost c) increase in insurance, tyres, fuel etc. d) increase in performance? e) what does the PPP involve exactly, is it mods or just a remapping ? d) can the PPP be reversed ?. thanks in advance. Rob
  6. Hi all, hopefully a quick question. I have a 55 plate Impreza WRX bought from new. I have kerbed my rear passenger side tyre and taken a huge chunk out of the side wall. This was after 7000 miles. Therefore i have to buy 2 x Potenza's (probably from www.blackcircles.com). I would rather buy two (instead of one) so that i keep the balance of the car. Is it best to put the new tyres on the front or the back ??? Am i right in thinking the front tyres wear faster on the front than the back ???
  7. Hi, i am due to renew my insurance in DEC, im currently with Direct Line and wondered if anyone can recommend any other insurance companies to save me phoning around for ever. Im 31 and have Full NCB although i had a slight bump in FEB 2003 (about £1000) of damage. Any info will be appreciated.
