  1. I am going to get my car up on the lift and have this sorted soon. Thanks for the info.
  2. Thank you ccrien, This is the exact info I wanted to know. The UK Mot and Netherland APK have same visual and almost identical emission requirement. Trying to get this info in Dutch has proven Tricky....so thanks for the heads up. My 2.2 Subaru Impreza OBS is a special North American Model build for desert conditions and has slight modifications from factory. I have two air filter to reduce the rick of sand inhalation by the motor and fyi the hood scoop was factory on the NA OBS. I wanted to confirm standard spec for emission in the uk to help me better understand my car before chopping up the exhaust. Thanks again Kind regards Lumin
  3. Hi Chris, Thanks for the info, what Im asking is does an NA GC8 Impreza 2.0 in the UK have one or two cats installed from factory?
  4. For the UK market How many Cats does a subaru impreza 2.0 come with stock? Kind regards Lumin
  5. I am an American citizen but grew up in Totnes UK then went to university back in California. My whole family lives in the states now, but I own a company and live in the Netherlands This car was imported from Arizona by the first owner and sat in an Amsterdam dealership for the last year. I am very happy with this find as I like the impreza in outback trim. I can't wait to really drive it once everything is refreshed.I purchased this 5 speed OBS as our second car (120,xxx): The car is in pretty good condition and I am the second owner. I got it extremely cheap as the shifter bushing were shot....It Kinda felt like driving/shifting in pudding. I ordered all bushing for under the car from Turninconcept in the US and my father brought them in his suitcase (don't tell customs). TiC Linkage Update TiC Pivot Bushings Kartboy front and rear shifter stay bushing with short-shifter Group N trans mount TiC trans xmember bushing Group N engine mounts Kartboy pitch stop Kartboy comfort outrigger bushings TiC Enthusiast Rear suspension bushings TIC Thrust arm bushings Kartboy endlink combo wagon WHiteline steering rack bushings I do not plan on tracking this car (wife sais no modifications) but I wanted a comfortable/reliable setup for the chassis and driveline. My little sister came out with my father and helped me install: Whiteline 22mm front and rear sway bars. Katrboy end links for the frt and rsb. TIC shift linkage bushings Katrboy rear stay bushing. Katrboy short shifter ....wow 40% reduction in throw feels great. TIC trans brace bushings. Group N trans Mount. Katrboy pitch stop. Redline trans/ diff and engine oil flush. Replaced both engine air filter (yes my car has two) Valve cover re-gasketing with new spark plugs, and wires. New clutch Cable (Such an improvement) New steering rack boots (Universal set from Brezan...We will see how long they last when I going playing in the mud) Installed Whiteline Steering rack bushings. Additionally I rebuilt all three point of the control arm with new bushings (I stayed with the iron arms instead of upgrading to aluminum because I wanted to keep the strength): New Tie Rod Ends to match the new white-line bump stop bushings on the control arms. Finished it off by taking the car to a 4 wheel alignment and then going down to the Ardennes for a 3 hour drive. The car feels great with little or no body roll. I couldn't really push it as I had the family in the car but no matter what the countryside dished out the car took like a champ. I still have all the rear bushing to install but the car definitely feels better already I am sorry to ask questions day one but I am getting an intermitted check engine light for a clogged Cat. I think that the o2 sensor (lambda) post cats is failing and sending a false reading. My question is do Subaru impreza gc8's have or need two catalytic converters to pass emission tests (mot inspection) as my car has two and I would like to make a setup with only one, but don't want to fail emissions. Thank you for your consideration Kind regards Lumin
