  1. Davey thanks for the advice and helpful you have had a 3 series before for comparison! £500 a year tax, OUCH! but worth it for the enjoyment I am sure The service book says the timing belt advised on 50K but hasn't been ticked as done, so I need to phone the Scooby specialist it was done at and see if they can confirm, I will ask about tensioners at same time service wise it has something from memory like 4 or 5 stamps at Subaru, then a few at Scooby specialist then one at a Vauxhall garage!!! ? ? cheers Rich
  2. Hi Guys Just wondered if you kind guys and girls might be able to help me? I am currently a regional host over on the Mk1 golf Owners Club and have a special edition sportline cariolet as a second car, but my daily is a BMW 520D M Sport. I am a sales manager covering a 300+ miles patch and have an itch to change the BMW I have come across 2 impreza's with LPG conversions which I believe cost wise could return me 40 - 50 MPG based on gas prices I have read about ensuring LPG kit has flash lube kit to prevent valve damage and also is it iridium plugs for running LPG I just wondered if anyone might be able to advise on: Their experiences with LPG Scooby's? Would the bucket seat be uncomfortable for long commutes? What are the servicing intervals and part costs? Are they expensive to run and likely to cost more in maintenance then a diesel saloon like mine? Do 4x4's mean changing all 4 tyres at the same time? Anything else you think it would be worth me knowing :-) I cant work out the way to add ebay links, Here is the car I am considering (fairly priced?) - ebay 271333667281 and another I was considering but has had deposit taken already - ebay 151212381490 hope no one beats me to a deal now lol All advice appreciated and beer tokens will be owed Thanks Guys Rich in Bristol
