About mlsw74

  1. I didn't realise that, will have a look into that as well.
  2. Had a look this afternoon, it is a '99. So thanks again, good info, i will look into the key coding first before i start altering things, but apart from that it all seems like a simple upgrade. Ill have that airbox mate, what do you want to do give me your email and i can paypal you the amount ? cheers
  3. A few pictures. Not to bad after a good buff. Looks a lot better than it did.
  4. Any one know why i cant view any of the other forums? i seem to be locked out of them apart from this one.
  5. Yes, thanks for the info, ill keep a look out for one, im also looking to put the standard airbox back in when i spot one for a good price. Also while searching through ebay i came across a prodrive kit for a 99-00 which appears to be a plug and play upgrade for a few more horses. How do i check its the correct one for my year, mine was registered jan 99 ( S plate) and im sure it is a 99 model with the bumper and white dial speedo. Is this really as simple as plugging in the ECU and the other bits, or would it need to be mapped anyway ?
  6. Thanks for the welcome, Im in Nottinghamshire by the way. Ive been giving the paintwork a going over last night and tonight with the buffing machine as it was in a bit of a state, (had a crappy paint job down both sides and the clear coat has not been put on well) but to be fair to the car i am quite pleased with the condition and it now shines quite well, couple of bubbles on each rear arch were it meets the bumper (looks like not the first time either) and a few more stone chips on the front end than i noticed when i bought it, and being dark blue now its clean shows every mark, but other than that not found anything else. Noticed it has alloy anti roll bar links and a Roger Clarke exhaust back box fitted while laying around the back of it, reason why it sounds nice and bubbly, both which i didn't know about, so a bit of a bonus, Only other issue is the dump valve is starting to p155 me off, may check through the old topics and see how to go back to standard. Cheers Mart.
  7. Hello to everyone, As title suggests just got my first scoob, its a classic turbo 2000 wagon in mica blue. Its in standard (ish) condition with cone air filter, exhaust and noisy dump valve, and so far its the most fun car ive had, love the engine and turbo noise, acceleration is completely addictive. Only bought this car as a winter runabout as its a handy 4wd estate with decent performance but im hooked now, should have got one years ago but i always looked down on them a bit , But as the title suggests this may not be the last one, i think ill keep this one for the winter and then i may move up the ranks a bit and get a hot version. Will put up some pictures when i get chance to take some, to busy driving it. Cheers
