I've just done an HPI check and it says it was exported to Northern Ireland in May of last year.

I have the engine number, is it possible to work out the build number from that? The engine number is 863648.

Hi Everyone, Its been a long time since my last visit to SIDC, way back in 2002 in fact, I'll explain my visit today. Way back in 2001 I purchased my then DREAM car, a brand new Impreza P1 from a very small dealership on the outskirts of Basingstoke called Mill Lane Engineering. I loved it. Everywhere I drove, I drove with a smile on my face, petrol was cheap, I was young(er!!), what could go wrong?......... ........My future wifey came along, and she HATED it. She hated everything about it. So I sold it. In 2002 I received a strange call in response to my printed add (remember those!!) the caller was from Vale Motor Group in Yeovil, they were calling on behalf of an elderly "eccentric" ex WW2 pilot who had an obsession for all things 4 wheeled, Japanese and fast, he was a collecter, he didn't even come up to see it, he just sent his "representitive" up to conclude the deal, the chaps name from VALE Motors was KEVIN CRESSEY. I remember Kevin saying "He won't even drive it, it'll sit in his barn with all the others" Now, the ultimate buyer was old then, so he must be (God willing) in his 90's now, and I'm trying to fing him or the car to possibly buy it back, in the hope that Kevin was right and he indeed never did drive it as it only had about 3000 miles on the clock when I sold it. I know it was a long time ago but I hope that someone on here can point me in the right direction. The original registration number was X278 JRX. I would be VERY greatful for any info on this car.
