  1. PS saved £200 on service costs with Hypertech bigfelly :-) that's next month!!!
  2. Hey guys 5W30 or 15W50 engine oil and may I ask why? In my old days running a RS turbo fiesta I always used Mobil 1 0W40. Used to make me laugh when I see people call it "mobile" one :-) The only thing I remember about 15W50 is that it's more a Motorsport oil and it's thicker. I think many websites recommend 30 vis oil for the 2.5L engine Any comments appreciated
  3. Cheers guys It seems hypertech get a thumbs up here. Hopefully the servicing costs should be better than main dealer prices! Ta
  4. Hey all Do you guys have any recommended Subaru specialists you are dealing with at the moment, specifically for service? The reason I ask is I'm looking at a 4year service (this includes differential oil change on 23000 mile car)on my 2010 hatch and have been quoted dealer prices circa £500+. I understand they are tied in to warranty pricing and it's good to maintain dealer stamps for resale however I'm sure some of you guys trust others more than a dealer so any advice or pointers for Glasgow area appreciated. Cheers
  5. Hi, Yes I have heard ECUtek and custom mapping is the best. I guess with bells and whistles you mean its more customisable than the straight prodrive or 340R upgrade. Im not sure that the 340R is available to be put on my car, havent checked the VIN yet but car first reg is 5/2010. I know a place that is very good for mapping using ECUtek and I have the Remus sports exhaust already installed. I called SUK the other day and they have Prodrive kits as far as I know. Cheers
  6. Hi there, No idea how to add pics!!
  7. Hi mate, The PPP pack available sounds interesting, especially if its sitting on the shelf somewhere so maybe a discount beckons!!! I read with interest that you can upgrade to ECUtek stuff and I know a reputable Subaru specialist up here who would upgrade the car. If you let me know the details of the guy selling I will consider. Im waiting for the dealers to update me on whether or not they will supply and fit the PPP pack as was advertised and hopefully they will but its good to cover bases I feel :-) Thanks PS I have no idea how to upload a pic of my car!!
  8. Hi All, Im new to site but have watched many topics on the forums as a guest and am interested in opinions on my situation! Have an STI MY10 I thought was a PPP car but looks like maybe was mistaken identity and warranty due to expire in June of 2013. Im looking up the PPP options and SUK reckon £1200 but I see on the Pro R site the 340R upgrade is running at £1600 all in. Obviously the performance figures vary slightly but as my car is running out of warranty does anyone think PPP and Pro R are better that an ECUtek upgrade? I know its all about cost and tuning and personal choice but just looking for ideas! PS My wheels already sport a Remus Sports muffler which Im not sure dictates less backpressure but may eliminate the need for Scorpion back box
