Thanks for the friendly welcome and encouragement ,I will seek a test drive from somewhere to find out for myself .I have a black 52 plate ep3 in near mint condition with 45000 miles on the clock and fancy something a little more "grown up" but the subaru will have to be good in order to convince me although I do like the 4 wheel drive and more power thing.

hi all ,my name is brian and i currently own a civic type r and a self build seven style roadster i own a garage workshop in glasgow and until recently have always run alfas .I am interested in buying an impreza wagon/ estate (not sure what is correct term)and want as close to 300bhp as possible as power and traction are what i fancy now.I joined the forum to get a better understanding of imprezas as there seems to be a wide selection available.My main queries are regarding ride quality ie soft,hard or in the middle as most use will be on the public highways and also weight figures for 2006 hawkeye models ,also are the 270 limited editions worth considering.thanks in advance Brian.
