Looking for some help chaps , 2005 wrx sti jdm , had it five years having a problem with headlights One of my headlights went out , ordered a pair of xenon lamps on line, went to fit them the other day and find out its fitted with normal bulbs that are altered to fit with altered wiring. Removed bulbs and wiring ,fitted xenons only to find out they don't work can anyone help

Hi people, New to the forum thought is start with a question, "xenon lights" I have a 2005 wrx sti jdm version . Ive had a few problems with head light settings when getting the car mot'd I've now found out the car should run with xenon lights , looking further into the problem I find the headlights have been altered and different bulbs being used. Does anyone know why this would have been done , the plugs for the xenon lights are there but don't seem to work. Would be grateful of any help
