  1. Cheers guys. In all fairness it seems to have disappeared since I have put some super unleaded in it. In a way, it satisfies me that the cables might have not been used. (maybe the car has been trouble free). I will try again during the week. Cheers. Jason.

  3. I suppose that is good news, but I would like to spend the next few months doing a little house keeping (clear / sort out the faults) etc then have a bit of fun next year. What OBD readers do you guys use please. Thanks. J
  4. Hi all. So my new (old) MY99 Wagon Turbo has a CEL that only comes on for a few secs when I first start and once or twice when poodling. I quite looking forward to reading the codes this afternoon. I could not see the jumper cables under the dash, but what I did stumble across was an OBD port? I thought these were only used after 2000. Can someone recommend a cheap scan tool for my car please, or if anyone in Essex wants to help, that would be great. Many thanks. Jason.
  5. In Japan (and that part of the world), all indicator stalks are on the right.
  6. I have switched indicator stalks on my old Celica, and was ready to do my previous Honda Prelude VTi before I sold it. I have a Civic ESi as a daily, and that is the proper way round (indicator on the right). Is there a way I can get some stalks from an import to fit my MY99 wagon? Cheers. J.
  7. Thanks for the welcomes people. I can't wait for tomorrow so I can have a closer look and make a list of jobs to do. I know the timing belt was done last year @ £500 so that is a relief. I have the receipt and called the garage this morning. Here are the jobs that need doing urgently. The car is on 96k. 1. plugs 2. replace panel filter for K&N 3. replace dump valve for OEM item. 4. replace drivers door motor as it is noisy when I lock. 5. find a way of changing the indicator from left to right (I prefer the JDM option - can this be done?). I will look into a paid of components up front on MDF mounts, a small 4ch amplifier under the passenger seat and a small 10 inch subwoofer either in the wheel well, or a tiny removeable box. I plan to keep the car as simple looking as possible. Thanks guys. J
  8. Just as I was about to go to bed, I happened to stumble across this car that was freshly posted for sale. PM later, visit today and the deal was done. I know I get frustrated reading 'newbie' posts without pics, so I will do the honours. Here are the most recent pics. Insurance is done, I have to tax her end of Aug. I will spend the weekend giving a good look over. I have named it Imogen. Only mods are the alloys, stainless back box and a dump valve of some sort that I am keen to sell, to replace with the OEM recirc item. Cheers. J
  9. I have posted. It is a bit more modified than I would have liked as I will use it often. My insurance is not fussed about mods or spec, but I want one not too modded for reliability etc. Cheers mate. Really appreciate the links. J
