About bugeyeruss

  1. spotted and spoke to lady owner of a sweet looking bloobeye at the garage across from Slowboy racing this morning, sorry i was a bit jibberish was coming off a night shift lol, lovely looking car
  2. spotted this evening as i was pulling into my drive on the main road, anyone on heres? also have seen a blue wrx bugeye a few times in the bigign hill area, both stunning looking cars
  3. thats the thing mate ive not really ragged it as such, it defo needs mapping and ive replace the dodgy soft hoses with some harder ones from a jap place by mine, she know runs back at 0.5 boost and the blow off valve is back to being quite again, im hoping it just needs a map
  4. after all the issues with the scoob i thought it was all sorted bar the map, but after a good drive to the coast and back again this afternoon i noticed at first it was only boosting to around 0.5 bar then after a bit of a rag it was going to 1.7 bar, i thought all was good and the ecu had let a few extra ponies out but i noticed the pipe running from the nipple on the turbo to the nipple on the actuator has come off, what i need to know has this happened due to crappy vacuum hose i brought from Boostjunkies? as the pipe is no where near as hard as the original
  5. cheers mate, cars all sorted now, just replaced the hoses on the fuel rail and the problem was sorted, fitted the actuator just think ive set it up wrong but the car is being mapped next week so should all be good, pig of a job getting the inlet manifold off tho
  6. ive taken friday off to do the hoses, actuator and feww other bits so im hoping to get all it all done, good thing is my dads garage is open 24 hours so aiming to get cracking thursday night and work through the night
  7. ok been to the local stealers and there looking into it, they know the fault but have not done a repair on one in over a year and due to mine being a JDM they have to email Subaru head office to find the part numbers, this is going to be a long process i think and my trip to germany is looking less and less likely in the car, but im now thinking of just changing the rubber hoses with new high pressure fuel lines and see if that solves the problem
  8. well when i first noticed it the car was cold but once warmed up i would go but know its pretty much all the time, i can look down through the inlet manifold and see a clip with a philips head and fuel in a puddle under that, it was so bad on saturdaY I had to drive with the windows down, im off to the stealers in a min. just out of interest how easy is it to removal the inlet manifold?
  9. thats the problem mate, cheers for that, kinda pissed the bloke who owned her before me didnt have it fixed as its been an ongoing problem, only thing i cant see on that post is how subaru UK fixed the problem? seeing as mines a JDM ive got a feeling im going to have to fix it, going to pop to my nearest stealers tomorrow and see what they have to say then take a day off work this week and break the spanners out lol
  10. haha my bad, welcome to the site hun
  11. thats the puppy mate, so looks pretty easy once ive removed the intercooler then, ive had a look on the forge web site but im not sure which turbo is fitted to my car? how would i find out? Another thing is ive noticed the fuel leak which i thought id cured has got worse, its coming from the bottom rubber hose at the end of the L shape fuel rail under the turbo intake pipe, does anyone know of a garage local to kent/sussex or essex that would be able to sort this at a good price this week? im off to germany friday and really dont fancy chancing it all the way there. any info would be welcome guys
  12. welcome to SIDC fella, couple of great looking cars you have there
  13. evening guys i could be a little thick here but seeing as im only just getting the grips with the boxer engine id thought id ask here first,i had a power test done on the car last week and although she had 292bhp the guy said the actuator was gone and she needed mapping due to the de-cat, ive been on forges web site and im kinda of lost to what actuator i need for my2002 JDM bugeye. am i just being dumb in looking and also how easy are these to fit for a bloke with a half decent spanner knowledge cheers guys
  14. cheers lads, been down to Jap performance parts this morning and got the bits i need ,stripping it down now, cant see any other dodgy pipes so fingers crossed ive solved it
  15. morning lads i need a bit of advice, after sorting the fuel leak yesterday afternoon into late last night i put the car back together and now it hardly starts and when it does it idles rough and stalls, ive found a split in the intake hose where it meets the turbo, do you think this is the problem? if i cover the intake at the end where the induction kit is it starts to run properly but as soon as you remove you hand it goes to stall again. ive checked all the other hoses and all seem ok its just the intake thats split. any advice guys as im screwed with out the car tonight cheers russ
