Hi there. I have bought a 1999 WRX import and shortly afterwards found out it had been fitted with the wrong gearbox. I have replaced it with a gearbox with a matching gear ratio to rear diff, but now the gear stick is too far back.
Any ideas?
Also since putting the gearbox on, the car doesn't idle properly and every time i hit 4 and a half thousand revs in every gear it splutters. The only thing i can think of that has not been re-connected is the speedo cable as the car is electronic and the gearbox is manual.
