where would i find that and how do i check voltage, what voltage should it be? thanks for reply

further to my alarm problem, i have entered the code *17856*38# 3 times just to be sure, its telling me its ignition, assuming that is correct , what can problem be , no problem starting or stopping car, any ideas?.

thanks lads for help , alarm has been playing up on and off for the last six months, just started playing up again, i can arm car and leave it for up to 10 hours and 0ff it goes again, after playing with bonnet switch it seems to settle again?.

hi all, bonnet swicth on my forester 2005 seems to be faulty, anyone have a part no, and how to fit? cheers.

just re-tried that info several times keypad bleeps twice as though it takes code but then keeps beeping when i try to arm car.

many thanks for your reply,battery is perfect, have tried that method but no luck, will try it again, when you say you should be able to disarm using new pin , assume you mean disarm using key? [have read all the manuals still no luck.]

hi hope some one can help, problem is alarm on my 2005 forester, it goes off for no reason , havent got original code for alarm, it ist haappened at christmas, went off overnight, i played about with keypad and thought id reset alarm, it was perfect untill a few days ago, then went off fo no reason help please if you can

thank you for reply.at the moment alarm is working correctly again. did the l/trigger thing ie press 0 ect and it corrected alarm it also says i will have to perform this action everytime i arm the system but havent had to do so so far today.suspect the bonnet switch! how do i isolate problem to find offending switch?

hi everyone since last post no one has come back to me, must assume your all stumped? since last post i went and played with bonnet switch tried the alarm and it worked as normal, and has continued to work untill just now, when alarm went off again for no reason,i have now gone to keypad and pressed 0 to dissarm wichever switch isnt working correctly, has anybody any idea how i might isolate offending switch? alarm is armed at the moment. so have to assume offending swicth is off for now. help please if you can .

had a look at last trigger, put key in ignition turned on, pressed o, turned ignition off, shut door armed car , started chirping then went into full alarm. is that saying switches are ok?

i was wondering that, the thing that worries me though is that alarm armed correctly at about 6.30 one evening then decided to go off about 3.30 in the morning weather was fairly cold, i would have thought that if a switch was about to fail it would have done so on arming car? i think your earlier suggestion might be nearer the mark, that i turned on beeps, remember alarm and lights were flashing i was half asleep and i dissconneted battery and what ever thing else i could think off, i may hve opened door while alarm was active with key or vise versa? if you have suggestion for isolating problem im ready to go , if it stops raining here!!

hi don i was able to open those files, i have a slighty better understanding of the alarm now, only slighty!! i could not find any direct link to my problem. so not knowing my pin i tried your solution 17896 ect and new code 1234, 1234 shut the door and alarm kept chirping pressing key again turned of chirping, then had to lock car with key
