  1. Thanks for the link. Does sound rather deep :) Am I right in thinking that If I replace just the cat pipe I need to get the car remapped or is that only if you de-cat or sports cat the down pipe?

    my car ran fine without for months but made the map made a difference, someone cut the cat temp wires on mine but probally could bung it. mine is a classic so maybe different. i think if i remember if you decat watch your boost or adjust wastegate to were it usually boost. may cause it to creep. it did this when i ported the headers.

  2. i have 3inch straight through except a short backbox and ported headers. does sound different to other classics, more deeper but since i ported it got slightly louder in my opinion. il dig a video out and excuse my m8 sounding a dick lol, and this was a private test track on my garden.

  3. i think its has variable speed sensitive powersteering, have you check the levels or replace fluid, and check the belts? there is a additive you can use, it renews the o rings etc.. but i cannot remember the name i think it was american. also if it dont work it garantees ur money bk. i tried it and it did wonders for mine. worth a shot m8 and good luck

  4. like above, all the usual exhaust, decat downpipe and uppipe uprated fuel pump and regulator colder plugs and a remap, then sort suspension, ie whitle line everything. give it a good polish it works every time for me. i get bored easy and had 7 cars last year but scoob has been with me 11 months so far

  5. theres always a list of things i want haha, i do want next is either a gizmo launch control or bee r rev limiter, 1 day a afp04 turbo which i think is best turbo im looking for as its a bridge between the td04 and td05 without doing anything to the injectors and maybe aftermarket side skirts, rb5 interior. then that will be it or not lol cheers for the comments guys

  7. i found out it was the brake booster hose. i changed it to silicone hose type but the wall was too thin and sucked shut during boost and made the noise. i only found this out because i put original hose back but with a braid to look better and after that the noise stopped. s if you done same best check it out buddy

  8. What BOV/dumpvalve/recirc valve do you have??

    If it sounds like blowing across the top of a milk bottle, then its probably leaking.

    cheers bud but i dont think its them. i have since found the downpipe is slightly moved to the right but still flat against the turbo and i can see black soot on the chassis leg so must leak from round there at high boost. so will try and tighten them

  9. I have been hearing a rush of air escaping sound only when at full throttle. The noise only happens at 0.5 bar and carries on till I reach 0.9 then disappears off throttle. I have come to the conclusion its the waste gate opening and letting the excess air escape somewhere. So I striped everything off including the turbo, up pipe and replaced all the gaskets. the turbo has no play what so ever. So I put it all back together and guess what it worked for the 1st test drive then the 2nd run it came back so this time I jacked up the car to feel for air and found none also checked the down pipe bolts which are very tight. So now im frustrated with the car altogether now. anyone have any ideas?

  11. i had the tank/bottle off the pump but never replaced the o-ring in the middle of the 2. now the pump is making noises and air is in the resorvoir so must the seal. also need the copper sealing washer for the banjo. i have been told i cannot get these from subaru as i would have to buy a whole new pump. do you guys have any like please, many thanks.

  12. my dad works for the council and phoned me to tell me the driver was stretchered away in ambulance. it was a blue scoob but not sure if newage or not as the car is that badly damaged. no other vehicles involved. this happened near gordons sawmill not far from trainstation. hope its not any of you guys and wish the bloke well. too many go speeding up there and not realise how narrow it can get.

  13. i like how the final episode had a chase seen like the film bullet but in the newest charger and mustang. great program but when is the next series on? ive heard they might cancel has there wasnt enough viewers and each episode had less and less viewers?

  14. i am trying to remove the o/s rear caliper but the bolts are that rounded they are pretty much useless. i can get them off using my irwin bolt removal but will not be able to reuse. so the question is were can i buy these bolts apart from subaru? cheers

  15. after realising i had a binding caliper i decided to buy some new pads and clean the calipers up. but 1 of the 4 pistons on both sides are seized solid and trying allsorts i decided to buy 2 new calipers instead. they are the wrx pro, from brakes international for £170 and got a set of black diamond predator pads £40. i already have ebc drilled and grooved discs. i have also bought ebc ultimax for the rear but too scared to find a seized caliper there so will wait untill i sorted the front 1st. what a nighmare
