    Mapping

Just had a very knowledgable conversation with Simon from Joly Green Monster about re mapping my Apexi ECU on my car. Is there anyone else considering this or wanting to have it done? If so, we can combine and book him for the same day to reduce costs for travelling etc... Let me know!!!!!!!!
  3. I took all the SUBARU side decals off my car using boiling water from a kettle and my nails. Pour on the water and immediately start peeling. Polish to finish.
  4. I have a 95 WRX. I was under the impression that there was rear speakers in the back doors, mine are on the rear shelf though. Anyone shed any light on this subject please? Love my Jap cars, but this scooby is slowly turning out to be the best one yet though be it the oldest.
  5. As title suggests. Can anyone tell me if the 95 V1/2 connectors are the same as the V3/4? I believe 98 on. Any help gladly accepted. Fingers crossed, last of the mods besides new injectors (engine bay anyway)
  6. As title, anyone know the std size of the front door speakers on a 95 import classic? Any help appreciated before I strip the door. Thanks Andy
  7. Original pics when bought from previous owners ad.
  8. Just took out a/c pump too. that was hard work.............
  9. It did have a TD05, looked worn so I acquired a new one.
  10. Small update. FMIC fitted, 2 x new front wings ordered as I can't be bothered to repair mine, bodykit ordered and bodyshop booked, looking for an upgrade on the fuel pump and also 550cc injectors. Just purchased an Apexi ecu and commander. Need to get some injectors and fit in order for me to get it booked into INDIGO GT in Merthyr. I can then sit back, relax and enjoy the benefits. All other jobs completed. car has been boosting at 1.1 bar for the last few weeks. One problem I have developed is a stench of fuel every now and then, and consumption is shocking
  11. Also, please help me with model, do I have a GC8? Sorry for being so dumb, never been interested in the Subaru until I bought this as a non runner. The car has since interested me enough to fit a T05 turbo, 3" st turbo back system, induction kit, FMIC. Looking for the 550cc injectors plus the Apexi ecu & Commander unit. Also need to upgrade fuel pump then it goes to INDIGO GT in Merthyr for remap & Tune. Body Kit has been ordered and the bodyshop has been booked for a complete colour change. Will be documenting with photo evidence as work continues.
  12. By the looks of things, He charges £220 inc vat. I think a new set is about £450 approx, so definately a better option if no-one has a set for sale after upgrading further. Many Thanks for the info.
  13. In that case, anyone got any 550cc injectors???????
  14. Anyone shed any light on my thickness please? I have a 95 impreza import. am i right in believing that the stock injectors are 380cc and side feed? Looking to upgrade to 550cc and wanted to check first before I spend any money. Thanks
  15. Engine speed signal circuit is 1 on the classic Impreza, I have all the codes written down as I have recently had my ENGINE CHECK light on. Unfortunately I don't know if they are the same for the newer models, as the light automatically goes out on the classic once the problem has been fixed without the need to re set, at least it did with mine. I had all my codes off the Scooby net site. Maybe it's worth a look there.
  16. Update: The car's oil leak problem has since been sorted, and after topping up the oil and Power steering oil, I encountered yet another problem................. Duh duh duuuhhhh!!!!!!! The power steering oil was pouring over the exhaust heat shield. Am I right in saying that it's fibre glass or something as I can't clean the oil off . Any way, back to the problem - After a few minutes trying to find the source, realised that the power steering pump wasn't fitted properly, the bolts had been cross threaded causing it to come loose. Took a little bit of patience but eventually re threaded and replaced, now no more leaks. Completely changed the oil and filter and spark plugs too. Road test.......Still overboosting. Bonnet up again, Easy fix, loose pipe. Road test........ Goes like the clappers. Jobs for today, fit turbo timer and a boost gauge. Well, that's cheating a bit as it already has both but they dont work, so jobs for this week - 1. Boost gauge 2. Turbo timer 3. Take off front bumper and prep 4. Fit Front Mount Intercooler (need to buy new hose though, as it has red & I would prefer Blue) 5. Prep new bonnet 6. Prime said bonnet and front bumper 7. Re spray bumper & bonnet 8. Fit Bonnet catch and release cord, once it arrives (curently has bonnet pins - not my cup of tea) 9. re fit bonnet and bumper 10. Get smashed whilst watching WALES beat the French and take the GRAND SLAM Will update photos soon. Tried to read the "how to" but no longer available. I'll find out though. Thanks for looking all
  17. Sorry about the repeat, but found it quicker to copy and paste from my Welcome page. Just a quick hello. I'm living in Gods country (South Wales), having never owned a Subaru before, I took it upon myself to buy a 1995 Classic that wasn't running. £20 later - Brum, Fired up (Fuel pump change). Check Engine light came on, so I quickly connected the two green connectors and low and behold, Knock Sensor. Replaced this, engine gunk all over and a good clean off revealed an oil leak from behind the timing cover or cam cover (not sure which, mechanic picked it up). I've had the gasket changed and the leak persists, find out that one of the bolts has snapped. It has now been extracted and waiting for another replacement, so fingers crossed, it's sorted. This car has also had on it in this time, 3" st steel exhaust system, T05 turbo, Induction Kit, Front mount intercooler(not fitted yet). Already on the car was some sort of Piggy Back ECU system. With a bit of luck I can get it to INDIGO GT in Merthyr for a remap as It also has developed an overboost problem either that or its not getting enough fuel only when you put your foot down. Lastly, The car Is dark Blue, Gold 7 spoke alloys, Some sort of large spoiler and now finally de stickered, It was covered when I bought it and took almost a whole day to clear. I have put crystal clear lights on the front, and tinted indicators and side repeaters.
