Hi tim i just picked up the new fast car mag and there is a good pic of your (old) scoob at crail with miss sti's in the other lane although you can just make hers out. Oh, before you start laughing at me i only bought it because it has the High octane 2 dvd on it (some good jap cars on it usually, strangely they seem to call a scooby a sooby!)

I missed it but not too bothered as the weather was crap anyway.

Good news tim, let us know how things are going now! My cars lying feeling sorry for itself with a cracked radiator at the moment, hopefully getting a new one tomorrow and hopefully get my zero sports grill fitted soon.

Hi there my maf cost £112 but if it for a later model it's about £70 (97 model on i think). I changed to a standard filter was about £30 it was recommended by the tuner and a few on here.

Tim what happened? did you not find a driver then? Miss scooby was it your car i saw sitting round at the back of the drifting oval near the exit?

Yes i did run the car in the morning, my fastest time was 14.2 which wasn't bad considering it was damp. I was spinning all four wheels off the line at first. It was so damp early on that a guy with a kit car span it off the line into the tyre wall. When i got the car r/r'd i found out the chip in mine was making the car detonate so it had to come out. I also had a knackered maf due to an aftermarket filter letting dust through it. What's your car making? mines is now making about 270 (227 @ wheels) but it is much slower as the chip was removed, it must have been nearer 300 with the chip.

I've seen it, one of them is the guy with the P1 and he kicks the c##p out of it and has had 3 gearboxes replaced. If you see it at the front its got more stone chips and dents than a 20 year old allegro. I don't have a knocklink fitted either so i'm taking it carefully. Although i had it on the rollers and its running fine, i'll need to fit one as i want to take it out on knockhill but i defo need a knocklink for that. I did beat a bike and a sti type r so our times can't be that bad, in fact the only car to beat me was tims.

S'pose it could have been worse m8, 6 months should fly in.

Bummer, i didn't realise crail was the same day, think i'll be at crail then. Miss scooby i think your car will be slightly quicker than mine as at the moment my car is totally standard and still has the cats on it. (hopefully not for too long).

Tim my car is a sti aswell with about 270 at the crank as it is standard (227 at the wheels) and i beat a type r twice on that day (the white one with white wheels) It did have about 300 bhp but the jap spec chip it was running was making it dettonate so had to be removed ( i couldn't believe how much slower the car felt without it)

Well miss, thats a good time, wot have you done to the car? I can't wait till next year when maybe i'll have some cash to spend on the car and get the boost up and get in the 12's (i'll wake up in a minute). How much work do you think is needed to get about 350bhp?

Did any of you see the guy kev with the P1 coming off the line, His times are in the 12's and his car is standard. No wonder he is on his third gearbox. His car looks well abused too.

Think i'll need to practice my starts then as i'm only using about 2 to 3 thousand revs to get it off the line. Tim there is a nice photo of your car spinning the front wheels off the line on the strathycruise site. The silver scooby your racing in the photo is mine (although you can hardly see mine).

Hi there, sorry to barge in, what was your quickest times? i was a little dissapointed with mine (13.9 secs) even though i only lost one race to Tim. i have a silver sti with standard gold wheels. I even managed to beat the guy with the 400 exup.
