About NufcKenny

  1. Cheers BalliSTIc, I'm still weighing up whether to go for an estate or saloon to be honest- and I need to do some more research on insurance... At the weekend I got some quotes for a 2005 wrx just so I had a ball park figure, and the best quote I was given was £1600!!! Seems ridiculously high given that I'm 27/married/director of a company/live in a good area/been driving nine years/have never claimed/had an accident/got any points! I was expecting the insurance to be high, but was thinking 'high' would be around £900!
  2. Blimey! Sounds like it's a pretty common fault then... Guess I should start familiarising myself with the local subaru specialists then! Hey Gus, cheers for the welcome... Howay the lads
  3. Thanks mate, but to someone that knows very little about these cars, what exactly does that mean? If the suspension seems pretty tight, and isn't making any noises should I assume all is well To me, what you wrote basically means 'get an 03 or an 06 instead' haha!
  4. Thanks mate. Read the evo review and have been having a look at them online and think for me an estate is the best option. Strangely, I think I might even prefer them to the saloon! Hopefully will be posting some pics up on here soon!
  5. Cheers mate- I hadn't even considered that! To be honest, a wagon would be perfect for me. I work as a photographer, often on location, and have to lug large bags of kit about with us and an estate would make life a lot easier. What are the main differences between the wagon and a regular one? I guess handling is probably affected? I'm not going to be ragging it around tracks or anything so that probably wouldn't matter to me... Any other obvious pros/cons?
  6. Cheers for the welcome lads! Never met so many other Kennys haha In regards to which kind I'm after, I prefer the shape of the 2005 WRX, I've seen a few that have a 'PPP' pack and they have a mint spoiler on the back haha. Ideally, I'll find a tidy bog standard one that I can do a few bits to myself. I went and had a look at one today, but it was silver (got my heart set on blue) and it looked a bit rough. Can see this taking a few months til I find 'the one'...
  7. Hi everyone, New member here. My name's Kenny and I'm in Northants. Little bit of background info: The first time I ever saw an Impreza was when I was a kid and on work experience with a car magazine. We were at Bruntingthorpe shooting the cover image for the issue they were working on and I can remember like it was yesterday when I first got there and saw this roaring monster coming round a corner sideways. It was love at first sight. Anyway, time went by and I've just gone from normal car to normal car. I'm now married and probably gonna be having kids in the next few years, so I've decided to get myself an Impreza now before it's too late. Wife is pretty much convinced, so just got to start looking. Gonna probably have the odd question for you lot but will scan the forum beforehand =)
