Be good to see you again Chris, the East Midlands run seems such a long time ago now.
Will be good to get out and see everyone!
I'm really looking forward to it.
Having to fetch the family along this time though lol

I'll be leaving Nottingham around 10am if anyone wants to go in convoy from the other direction.

I think it came from Revolution. They were stripping down their race/demo car from last yaer and were selling the bits off so i got it for about £75-80 if i remember correctly. Which for what it is really isn't a bad price. Just took a bit of work to spray the mesh and it looks alot better.
Thats not bad, seems to be about half the price of them new.
Was is hard to fit? I have never tried to remove the scoop from mine. I can see that its obviously a replaceable part from the top. Are there some fittings under the heat/noise shield under the bonnet?

Well, I like it Davey
A wee bit of Carbon done well is no problem
I was apprehensive when i read the header, but having seen the pics, it looks sweet!
Can I ask where you got it?

Do you happen to know if passengers must also wear a helmet?

Hi Chris,
We work closely with the MLR who organise Track Days throughout the year and offer SIDC members the chance to join them on track. However, we have booked a dedicated session at Rally Day, Castle Combe in August at the cost of around £21 if you're interested in joining us.
Thanks
Kim
Hi Kim
Thank sounds excellent. Is that £21 in addition to the cost of the ticket for the event, or does that price cover general admission and the on track stuff?

Was wondering if anyone out there is planning to do any track days?
I'm looking at going to one or two myself, but its always more fun if you can go along with some others.
There's plenty general track days available in and close to our area, don't think i have seen any SIDC organised ones for our area.
Any thoughts, ideas or opinions?

Cheers Goofy for organising this little trip!

Yep, Ikea Industrial estate just off the A610 at 10.00am
When you say "Industrial Estate" do you mean Retail Park i.e. The Ikea Car Park, or the actual Industrial Estate behind, which is think is Guiltbrook Industrial Estate?

Hi all,
Well myself and Nick hope that you have all had a festive Christmas and a positive and prosperous start to 2012
As you hopefully all will have seen a month or so ago we have posted up the details of the Midlands 2012 schedule which I am sure you will agree is a busy one! If you haven't managed to have a look at it please pop over to the other topic located in this section (but remember to come back! )
The first event on the calendar is the East Midlands Run which is to be held on Sunday 22nd January, and is (weather permitting) going to consist of a run out around the Nottingham, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough area and a few stops in between for a bite to eat and a good post festive season catch up!
It would be great to see some new faces turning up as well as some old ones too (you know who you are! )
The plan is to meet at the Ikea retail park just off the A610 which is just off Junction 26 on the M1 at an agreed time to suit those attending.
If those of you wishing to attend could put your names down below asap we can finalise times etc...

Hi all, whilst this year has been busy for the Midlands section of SIDC, we want 2012 to be something else!
Behind the scenes myself and Nick (Goofy) have been organising an array of events to cater for all tastes, we have tried to organise days where we can all park up, have a bit of food and a good natter as well as days that will test the friendship of a few members!
We have provisionally assigned dates for all the events and these will be confirmed once we find out the dates and details of all the major shows and events that SIDC will be attending next year.
We really want to make it clear that this is your club and your region, so if there is anything you would like to see organised on top of the below please don't hesitate to contact either of us, you can contact us at -
