  1. Hi guys,

I have been considering a drive over the New Year's period, being on the Dorset/Wiltshire border I was wondering whether anyone fancies a drive to Weston-super-Mare or Swanage? I know the weather is a bit bum but theres some good stops en-route to both and I thought the 2nd Jan would be a good date for those who will be working over the New Year's period (day off I hope!).

Short notice but who's in and for which one?????

  2. Yes, why don't we do a meet somewhere to try and gather a few members together? I'm available from Tuesday thru to the 4th, so open to ideas....

I love to talk Land Rovers, had a Defender Tomb Raider lookalike, S1 Disco, SIIA Truck cab and SIII SWB, spent many a weekend and evening under the bonnet of those beasts!!

  3. Sounds like a plan to me, was planning a similar thing...... No half day options at present unless we can get a few people through the club who want the same thing.

Spectators - there's no spectator areas apparently, but if in support of someone paying on the track you can watch from pit wall etc apparently.

  4. Hi all,

I'm introducing myself as the new RO for Hampshire and also hoping to get an idea of peoples whereabouts (roughly, no specifics!) so we can discuss suitable meeting venues for as many to attend as possible. I am suggesting we do meets for various parts if needs be with people being spread around, but hopefully on more interesting meets we could have a county-wide attendance.

I have seen quite a number of Scoobies in the Hampshire neck of the woods so I'm hoping we can get some good meetings together.

Please let me know location info and lets see what we can do!

    Cheers,

    Peter

  5. Hello all,

Abingdon are holding an open-pit track day on 2nd December, currently £129.00 for the day on track (open-pit), £10 per passenger (for the day) and £20 per additional driver (for the day). There is a 100dB static limit and it is a non--competitive event - anyone caught timing themselves could be thrown out. As with all track days, helmet and gloves a must for all, etc etc.

I have been told they may offer a discount on a group or number of vehicles who would attend, so is anyone interested? Might be good to have a little SIDC gathering there, good burger van I've been told! PM me or thoughts on here please.
