Looks great terry, nice work chap
Hey Matty, you know how common those baby blue cars are... I think you know the ones I mean... Lol
Just carded one in Taunton. You may no longer be alone?
-
Definately not me Neil, I don't think there is a woman stupid enough to put up with me. lol
Terry please look at the various icons above. NONE are Hitler!

I must admit I was thinking simple family affair really. But maybe we need to look at a small local AND a bigger national one. My initial reasons were to try and get some more locals joining up with us down here. If you think we can pull of a national as well lets make it "as well" not instead of eh?
Sounds good, have you spoken with Jerry with regards to a local one yet? Do you fancy a run up to Trax?
-
Blimey.
Your thought is blimey? Lol
What do you think Tel?

got the scoob back today from the paint shop. YIPPEE. it's looking the business plus it had a full valet. even better they changed my broken front number plate free of charge. now thats what i call customer service. going to take her for spin
Cracking mate! You can't beat the feeling of thrashing a pristine motor

Right guys! Great idea! Please tell me if it's not. We put a fab show of numbers up at Combe for all events and I don't see why we can't do this for others....
So I put it to you that we make our BBQ an end of season BBQ with camping and a few drinks too. I've a contact who has some land and facilities that we can possibly use if the right level of interest is shown. It's right next to the track at Silverstone.
So I propose that we have a drive out, and day out at Trax at Silverstone with camping and drinks after. Can probably camp the night before too if wanted to save silly o'clock drive up. Please show genuine interest and will start talks.
This could appeal as more of a club thing too rather then just SW which would be amazing!

A new turbo is it??
He was discussing a new type of turbo not so long ago. Had my keying mark sprayed out too now...
Just talking to a friend about a remap too.

I don't believe it needs that much planning. If its only a get-together for a BBQ and beer then all we need is location then the rest is up to the individual. If it works well then we can always do it as an end of season blow out before the rubbish weather kicks in.
Porlock seems a good Idea as for only £7 a night and all the amenities near by. Just bring your own bog roll.
Bog roll there too mate, but if your picky.... Lol

Fail ... Bummer
One rear shock and a split pin , not bad for a relic .. happy days
Easy fixes! Sounds like an excuse for some coils to me....

I reckon a night with beer and BBQ is an option I'd prefer or else it's just another drive out. I believe that a BBQ should be the thing us SW lot push as our main event of the year. Family atmosphere etc.
But as always happy to go with the flow.
I agree with you hence picked a place as an option with facilities and family friendly. I appreciate, deepest Devon it's a bit further for. But I think is ok for most as just outside Porlock. Where is Jerry's?

It ain't in same league as dons mate , that's insane ..
But it works for me ...
Bungy yours is the best yet mate! It's the first invisible mod I've seen (or not in this case)

£7 a head with facilities and fires allowed

I appreciate free but did you not say we'd have to pay for ports loos? That would be same as camping fees easily!ol
Any other suggestions from others?
-
I know a campsite nr Porlock that has a cheap cheerful shower block with loos. Male and female. Can also have camp fires and BBQ there. Obviously we can camp and I could talk to the owner who I know about having the site to ourselves if there's enough of us. No one around to upset either.

Flexible friend on standby...
No flexible friend on stand by! Cheap cash deal if I do it....
-
Do a prize for the best fuel consumption.........
Yeah! Like that idea Keith, gives everyone a fair chance to win. Still toying with the idea of treating myself to a remap?????
-
money
Lol. The answer to most problems, but not all....
I was once told money can't buy you happiness but can buy you choices....
-
Yeah must say not heard a good thing about them for a while! Isn't that where Beefoss took his as well?
-
I would chuck the WRX wheels on but they would need at least 2 tyres so might as well sort out what I got long term...
-
I really think you need to talk to the experts mate and Powerstation are amongst the best up at Tewkesbury. They do the Lichfield suspension. I guess if you tell them what you have and what you want and what the problems are they will sort you out. They know all there is to know about that side of things really.
Oh see what you meant now! I thought you meant was the rolling road called PowerStation...
I will check them out
-
Powerstation?
No mate, TSR Performance. They are God's with VW and are huge in that circle. i appreciate they won't know much (potentially) about tuning Scoobs but they sure as hell no how to run a rolling road. They've had multiple show winning cars for performance and looks!
While I've got your attention Terry what do you think to spacing my suspension?
Other options are putting original springs back in the rear of the car but unsure what this would do to handling. 2nd option is try and camber the wheels but that will give me shorter tyre life
-
OK UPDATE: I've popped into my local rolling road tonight anything under 20 cars looking at an est £40 a time. They have been in the game for years!
Also if anyone can help me out I asked them about my (tyre on arch issue) and they said I can buy suspension spacers. I've found them for sale in the U.S, anyone know where abouts in the UK I might be able to get these from?
