About Bryony84

  1. Hi Mark, thanks for your message, I'm afraid my scooby is up for sale, I'm having to do more miles so had to buy something more economical :(

  2. Hi,

How's your car coming on? Still want this backbox? I'm coming over in February and can bring it with me if you still want it. Mark.

  3. Hi and welcome, I've just joined recently too and am looking for my first Scooby. Have seen 2 so far, both quite different but both good drives. Good luck with the one you've reserved, you're brave to go 300 miles for a car!
  4. Went to see the car at the dealers today and all went very well, we were left alone to have a really good look at the car and the history which was nice, its never good to have the staff looking over your shoulder the whole time. Test drive proved that an impreza is certainly going to be the right car for me, was a lovely fun drive and not nearly as different from driving the golf than I'd expected, apart from the speed of course and the noise of the prodrive exhaust which was rather nice, not too loud. Going to see a local car on a private sale tomorrow, mileage is a little more but it would be good to have a comparison.
  5. Great advice on both counts. I won't be rushing into anything as I need to sell my golf before I commit to buy anything but I thought it would be worth test driving the local one as the more experience I have of the cars, the better. I've certainly nothing again a well done modification or a few on the car as buy as it can really save some money on the right car.
  6. That's a great checklist - thanks! A few people have mentioned that the PPP isn't really worth the money and a custom map would be better but I'm going to give this one a go just so that I actually have some experience of driving one rather than just being a passenger. Hopefully will be going to have a look at it Saturday morning. Spect - looked at a house in Portchester a few months back when we were moving, ended up getting one in Titchfield in the end though. I'll keep an eye out for your car as I drive that way pretty regularly, I work not far from Cams school.
  7. Thanks for the welcome. I've been browsing Pistonheads a bit and can see what you mean about good ones and bad ones, sometimes its obvious but I guess other times it isn't. I've enquired to test drive this WRX, mostly because the dealers are very local to me and I haven't actually driven one myself yet, only been a passenger in a friends WRX, need to get an idea of what to expect. Scooby at the dealers I live just outside Portsmouth in Hampshire so it would be good to see if there's any local meets as I used to go to a monthly VW one with my Golf.
  8. I've just registered for the forum hoping to find exactly this sort of atmosphere, it seems to have gone missing from most of the VW forums I've been on for the last 6 years or so which is what has lead me towards considering a change of car.
  9. Spotted this car a couple of times now around 5.30-6pm but only ever seen it from the back, looks lovely though. Its actually one of the cars that has made me want an impreza so would be interesting to see if its someone on here.
  10. Hi All Came across this forum whilst doing some research into buying my first impreza. I've been in the modified VW scene for the last 6 years or so but have fallen out of love with my current car (Golf 1.8 Turbo) and the VW show scene as a whole and after going to a few meets and Japfest 2 with my boyfriend and his 200SX, I've been tempted over to the jap side and just put my car up for sale. I was originally looking at Honda Integras and 200SX S15's, but I've spotted a few really nice imprezas locally which has tempted me towards them. One is a white STI with anthracite wheels, looks gorgeous! I'm still doing my research but probably looking at a blobeye WRX, any advice you guys can give would be great.
