About Vickster

  1. Hi All I am putting out a plea for a 1st Generation Impreza with the rear wing for a photoshoot at our studio in Derby. We need to get this done in the next fortnight or so which I know is a bit of an ask but any help would be appreciated. You will be paid your petrol expenses and have a set of the pictures (a studio shoot is about £350) and you car in a six page buying guide. The shoot takes about 3 / 4 hours and we try to fit around the owner as much as possible. If you think you can help, please let me know either via this forum or to vicky@magiccarpics.co.uk and I can give you more details. Many thanks Vicky
  2. Hi Matty So pleased you liked the pics, always a bit of a worry that something might not turned out as planned. The article went down well in the magazine which is why we are trying to sort the next model as we know there are a few people interested in these cars! If you let me know which Lexus you have and the age, I can see if it's been done or if we can add it to the list. Cheers Vicky
  3. Hi All I need to try and sort out a Subaru Impreza 3 (hatch) for a photoshoot to feature in one of the used buying guides that Auto Express do. This forum came up trumps early last year when we did the generation 2 model so I have come to you first for the next model. The owner of the car would need to take their car to either our studio in Derby or Beaulieu for the day (a shoot takes about 3 - 4 hours but with travelling time it would probably be a day out) and in return they would receive a full set of studio pictures (worth about £350-£400) and have their car in a national magazine. The car needs to be ideally not black or white but a colour. Also it needs to be a standard car and not modified, I’m sorry about this to all of you that have modified cars but we need to photograph a fair representation of what’s on a standard forecourt. I appreciate that this is a bit of an ask but before we try the local dealers we do like to see if any private owners would like a studio shoot of their car done via their respective forum. If anyone is interested, please do not hesitate to contact me either via the forum or vicky@magiccarpics.co.uk for further information. Many thanks Vicky Dredge
  4. Hi Sorry, I didn't realise that there were three 'shapes' within this generation, you will be pleased to know that I don't write the article! Having spoken to the Ed we would be looking at the Hawkeye and Blobeye shapes, (apologies to all Bugeye owners). Thanks for the info so far. Cheers Vicky
  5. Folks, I sort out the cars for the used buying guides for Auto Express and the next one I’ve been asked to do is on the 2nd generation Subaru Impreza (2002-2007). I need to find a tidy example, which I can put into the studio to photograph for the piece. Can you please get in touch with me if you’ve got a car that we can put in the studio – it needs to be in good condition and essentially to standard spec. The spec itself doesn’t matter, but something reasonably brightly coloured would be perfect as it's photographed on a white background in artificial light – so no white cars can be used and I also try to avoid black or silver, although we can use those if necessary. There will only be studio photography of the car, so there will be no dynamic shots taken at all. If you think you might be able to help, could you drop me a line please, either via this forum or to vicky@magiccarpics.co.uk, attaching photos if you want to. In return for the use of your car (which nobody but you will drive), you'll get reasonable fuel costs paid, a set of the pictures (a studio shoot is worth about £350) and your car in the magazine. You'll need to be able to give up a few hours to take your car to either a studio in Derby or Hampshire. It would obviously be best for us to get someone reasonably close to one of these locations due to the fuel expenses, but if the right car is found this can be looked into. We are looking to do this in the next couple of weeks if possible. Thanks for your time, Regards Vicky
