About thalbergmad

  1. Thanks my friends for the reponses. The RAC quoted £229 which i feel is a reasonable amount to invest for a £13,000 car. If I was buying from a main dealer I would probably not bother, but for a family run firm i guess it protects both buyer and seller to some extent. I have to admit it was pretty difficult to choose between this car and a 2007 Nissan 350Z, but the Scooby wins on sheer fun and it has not got a 3 ton metal brace in the boot. Regards to all. Thal
  2. Greetings, new member here and potential owner. I test drove a spec D (yes i am getting old) with Prodrive on Friday and I was completely blown away with the performance, handling and style. My knoweldge of cars goes about as far as putting fuel in and I even got that wrong once, so I am wondering if anyone could recommend anyone that offers some kind of pre buying assessment service. I am in Kent and the car is in Essex. I could go to the RAC, but I expect they are overpriced and doubt if they have any great experience outside of "normal" cars. Any advice would be appreciated.
