tried with the starter today and it sounds like the starter is moving but nothing moving on the front of engine, i wert sure bout taking the engine apart cos if it did need new engine putting in and wanting someone else to do it they wont touch it wen not complete, 2 pops like back fire then everything died just left ignition lights on, any idea without taking it apart from cambs nr peterbourgh

hi can anyone help me, i was coming home from holiday yesterday just come over the bridge on the motor way only doing 65-70mph, it sounded like the engine back fired then died wouldnt do nothing, i got recovered home i was told could of been cam belt but thats ok all the belts and pulleys were all changed 13000 miles ago all oil and water ok, wen i tried to start the engine its not doing any thing the cam belts not moving, has anyone any ideas wat it could be? will it need a new engine? and how hard is it to put a 2.5 engine in will it need new ecu? or would it be better to strip this engine down and upgrade it any ideas of cost ????
