Could ye nae use a similar idea to an F1 pump used for gear changes on a Ferrari/Maserati gearbox.
Like for like F1 pumps for Alfa Romeo's can be picked up cheap and they pump transmission fluid.
The reaction time for this must be pretty quick.
Maybe a crap idea but just thought I'd throw in my tuppence worth.

I was in the Ukraine once, Dnipropetrovsk, was fun until I broke my ankle but that's another story.
Welcome along!

Get some pics up. What number and colour is yer CS400?
I'm trying to do the opposite just now... got my CS400 but looking for a classic just now

Good work Davey - as always, if I happen to be in Scotland, then count me in.

I changed my battery on a CS400 out for a Bosch Silver within 2 months of getting the car. Did the same on my last 08STi as well. If you work away for a month or 2 at a time the standard Panasonic won't cut it, even a solar trickle charger from Maplin never helped on either of mine. The Bosch Silver will run and run.
If you get it replaced under warranty, I suspect you'll have the same problem again soon.
I've heard from a dealer that Subaru will agree to change it out once under warranty - but on subsequent failures they'll claim it as a "maintenance issue" rather than a warranty failure.
If I was you - get your dealer to replace under warranty with a Bosch Silver.
I think I used the bigger of the two Bosch S5 following ones bought from Halfords... needs a wee tweak to battery clamp - but my car has sat for over 8 weeks and starts first time every time.

It's a pain in the arse - but a good investment in a hatch to make. The dealer when I traded mine in commented that he noticed I'd upgraded. And when I got the CS400's first service, the guys at the dealer asked if I'd had problems and said it was a good idea to upgrade.

I use michelin pilot sport 3's - cos that's what comes on the CS400. Seem good but I corner like a granny lol.
I wouldn't mix brands as the tread patterns in the wet won't be compatible and I think that would be a worry - but maybe that's nonsense?
I've always like running Pirelli's on my other cars - but had a 2 month old P-Zero bubble on the inside rim - so am now nae happy with them.

Just noticed I'd hit 555 posts - which seems an appropriate landmark in my SIDC membership and an excuse to post up a pic of L555BAT

has anyone tried sat nav discs from here http://www.satnav-updates.com/subaru-western-europe-2011-core2-86283fg120-38-p.asp
Just wondered if these work as official lines of enquiry via kenwood and subaru draw a blank as they appear to of not made any new updates for quite sometime..
I bought from them for the missus car. It arrived in good time. Unfortunayely it didn't work but think problem maybe with sat nav unit and not the disc. By time i got back from work i was outwirh their guarantee period. There were files on the disc. There's many probs with the sat nav unit software in the birds car, so thats why i reckon thats where rhe problem was.
I also found a website forum where you could download backups. I found that a fiat ducati van used same disc and found it on the forum bit unfortunatley only partial download.
Worth spending an hour or so searching for.

In my experience - Zunsports grills are top notch

Nice one on yer purchase - I'm guessing the dealer stamps are fae Autoecosse and they don't come better in my experience of main dealers in NE Scotland.
p.s. Pics?
p.p.s. Just noticed it was red! WOOOOO

I'm gonna start stock piling them lol
This news does make me sad though, it might sound ridiculous but the Impreza was one of the main driving forces in my adult life.
Was working in a petrol station for £5/hr and got a shot of my bosses MY00, then the only thing that mattered was affording an impreza
.
Colin macrae was a huge part of it too for us Scottish lads and no doubt many others. I remember seeing a L555 *AT on the slug road at Stoney and being jealous as hell.
Maybe it's time to become a surf bum...
... Or more likely the thread title is a load of pish and this is NOT the end - the Impreza will NEVER die for me. I'll just need a bigger driveway/garage and connections in Japan.
P.s. they shoulda got back to WRC. The success of the hatch with SRT USA says alot and IM group seemed to fail
