About Cruize

  1. I have a 2003 WRX and the range on mine is ****e... I din't have the problem your having but I have to be quite close to unlock the car.
  2. I'm preparing at the moment. having a look at the parts I need and making sure I get the right stuff. So I'll need to make up a contact plate? I'll have a look at that website
  3. Hi All, I'm contemplating getting a snap off boss for my scoob. 2003 WRX Blobeye. I know I need the hub adapter, snap off boss then steering wheel. The airbag light is fixed with a resistor. My question was how do I go about sorting the horn out? I'm assuming there must be some sort of snap off boss or set up that can compensate or have the required connectiosn built in??? Has anyone got a snap off with horn set up for my spec?? Or anyone know how I go about doing it? Cheers
  4. Heres a quick wiring breakdown. Hope it explains it well enough. Double check with a circuit tester before chopping wires so your sure your cutting the right wire.
  5. This is the gauge I have, with a pilar that fits the subaru nicely. Where the fuses are the wires to the fog light switch and adjustment height sit. I used a circuit tester to find the right wires and cut into them with bullet connectors. This way when I turn my side lights ot full beams on the gauge lights up. Sorry. iphone doesnt have a flash lol, but to the left of the steering column the gromit sits at the back of the footwell, you can see the white pipe disappear into it. It comes out just by the Brake servo and then goes off behind the intercooler to the DV Then it joins up to the DV pipe via the t-piece that usually comes with Boost Gauge kit. Hope that helps some. It took me a few hours to do but I went in blind. If I knew this it would probably only take 45min or so. If that, if your handy with wire strippers lol
  6. Hey, Very simple tbh. In the drivers foorwell just behind the steering column to the left is a handy gromit which does absoloutly nothing. This leads straight into the engine bay. All I did was drill a very small hole in the gromit so it was still tight around the hose and fead the hose to the intercooler where it rigs up by the DV. Wiring wise I used the electrics behind the fog light switches. This way my Boost Guage lights up when I switch my side lights or main beams on. I'll take some pics if it helps but it's a very easy set up.
  7. I'll be doin the London to Brighton ride that day... Have to catch the next one
  8. What type of clutch are you looking at? Is this for a racing or paddle clutch. I've seen a few 3 piece exedy clutches for 270quid but this doesnt include the flywheel. Mine needs doing desperatly as it's slipping like a B**** under load. A few mates who work at Power Engineering are gonna do the work for me but i need to source a clutch. Haven't got liberias deficit to throw around either :/
  9. lol no worries. I cleaned it and everything......
  10. Hi Mate, http://www.grahamgoode.com/subaru/parts.ph...amp;item=GGS803 He doesn't give a price though...
  11. Any large modification to the engine is best off being remapped afterwards, the remap is always the final thing to be done. Because your opening up the restrictions the standard exhaust causes it will effect the fueling. As there is more room for exhaust fumes to exit quicker it means the engine has more room to push more fuel in. So a remap is always advised to keep the timing and fueling correct. This will save the engine going BOOM further down the line. I'm not so clued up on ECU's to be honest. I know some aren't tunable and sometimes a aftermarket one is required but it depends which one you have. Better of asking someone else about that lol. As to the Standard Silencer.... I would recommend getting a custom one made by powerflow or similar, it can still have the standard "look" as you have a wide selection of exit styles to suit what you like, but it would fit in line with the rest of the system so wouldnt cause a problem.
  12. To be honest mate, styling is really set aside from performance. The only things that would give the car away is if you had a front mount intercooler or a exhaust you can stick your fist in. What sort of power are you looking for from it? The standard mods to start with is a stainless 2.5 or 3" exhaust, Uprated panel filter, Walbro fuel pump, with a remap to finish it off. This will give you anything in the region of 260-280bhp... If you want more power then you start going down the lines of bigger 550cc injectors and bigger intercooler/turbos, you could decat the downpipe to open up a few more bhps. Depends how much you want to throw at it The most common turbo upgrade is to ditch the standard one and go for a TD05-16G. Good performance gains but a slightly later spool up. None of the mods will make a difference to how the car looks, unless like I said you get a FMIC or huge exhaust.
  13. I'll be comin down in my Blue 53 Blobeye.... I'll be with a few mates in S14's
  14. Here you go mate. Very nice, Very tidy
  15. I do the servicing myself. I did my pads yesterday, 2 hours to do the rears. Check my levels. Maybe a oil change next week. I felt my clutch slip today too. Normal driving it's fine but I put the foot down on the motorway and at 1bar I felt it slip slightly.... It will only get worse so time to get a new one.... more cash lol. I agree though I wouldn't change it lol. I refuse to drive my car to Tesco's... My old car was always scratched and dented by opening car doors. In the scoob I point black refuse and send the missus lol.
