Thanks for the kind wishes people, our wee one is coming on a treat!
Stephen, we have a plan for some night photography soon in Edinburgh, will drop you an email with a date/time
New car has arrived, took a quick shot on the way back from the dealer. V50 T5, 18" alloys, upgraded stereo, leather, no squeeks/rattles, damn, it feels solid (but lacks some burble )
Will most certainly catch up with you all at knockhill, I'll keep my eyes peeled on here for trackdays!
Best wishes folks,
Neil.

Hi folks,
Well, the time has almost come to bid farewell to Subaru.
I have had the most excellent 4 years with you guys, from the various West Lothian meetings/lunches, to the endless trackdays at knockhill, it really has been a ball! My highlight of the four years of being a member was the Glenshee run at the beginning of 2007. Imy was leading the "slow group", with me directly behind. I had only had the STi for a couple of months, and she was finally run in. This run honestly showed what the STi was built for, a truly fantastic day (ignoring the £200 fuel bill for the day ). Imy, Grant and co, many many thanks for organising that, I'll never forget that day! I've met lots of people here who will always be friends, and will never forget Dougie C's contagious laugh and sense of humour, he was a great guy, rest in peace brother.
It's been a great journey with subaru though, had a real crush on Impreza's for a while then finally got my first in 2001:
1995 classic, minted, 1 previous owner, loved that car (except the servicing costs).
Then, decided to bite the bullet and get a brand new blobeye WRX (wasn't a fan of the bugeye, hence not getting one)
After deciding never to buy a brand new car (after losing a fortune on the WRX) I opted for a brand new hawleye STi , had to be done though, kinda like love at first sight again and couldn't wait for them to come on the second hand market.
Reason for giving up is that I really detest the new model, what have Subaru done I even had a test drive to see if it went better than it looked, but in all honesty, didn't feel anywhere near as good to drive as the one I have just now. Shame really.
Anyhow, big huge thanks for everyone involved in the organisation that has went into events, shows, lunches, santa cruises, more runs, trackdays, pax laps, man, the list goes on and on. I have around 1 billion photographs from various events, and must really do something with these one day..
Onwards and "upwards" <- that's debatable,
Neil.
p.s. I'll still be around lots of trackdays, just sign up and keep an eye out on my flickr for photos if you fancy!

Semi's = fun
Nice looking wheels!
-
I think you should focus on the bits that are missing first
-
Gary, the problem is the strip is flat, and the wheels are 3d. The colour will be pretty difficult to get spot on in photoshop.
Here's another go.

Good shots folks, looked like an excellent weekend for it!
Any shots of the aftermath of this?

Never had any issues with Ian Grieve's, always had superb service
-
There's a great Hawkeye STi for sale mate, well within budget
-
What about just creating a "Scoobzie's random crap thread" and keeping all this stuff in there?
-
oops, missed you today JC
Oh well, here's a few shots from today. There's 100+ on flickr from today, view as a slideshow if you like.
See you at the next trackday.

Pile 'o' ****ey eye?
-
People watch these forums, not just the members. The club as a whole should not condone speeding on the main roads, is that not what trackdays are for?
-
Welcome back mate! Tidy looking classic you got there
-
Nice shots there Marky, my panning was shocking at the weekend. Nice work
-
Not seen this one before, jeez, that was one close call!
