  1. Hi Chris, the caliper brackets sent yesterday. Caliper ok, seems bracket has had a small fracture prior to sundays mishap. Fracture on sunday is very clean and the other looks stained and been there for some time. Compbrake said there has'nt been any issues with there mounts. These mounts and calipers were assembled and torqued as per compbrakes specs. I've relayed our concerns about their product and need a cause for the failure, we can't have another breakage 12 months down the line. As for the RS4 calipers I ain't got any. RS6 on rather large rotors maybe I should have motor back together for you come the weekend. Steve.
  2. I'm home
  3. Not so "tig", he's too busy lightening his RA. Removal of rear spoiler not enough , he just deleated the boot lid complete. Job done I've got a feeling Frank's looking to make his motor quicker. He's ditching components that have no function other than harbouring speed. We'll need to hook up and discuss his problems, I feel being around me he's came down with the "NTGTFF" syndrome. For those not familiar with SW Motorsport techno babble,"NTGTFF" is a very serious condition. Several customers have been stricken with it, and up till now medical science hasn't found a cure for"NTGTFF". I feel I'm to blame for his radical change recently, should'nt have let him be so involved in my RA project. PLEASE MEMBERS WE NEED TO HELP SAVE THE "FRAZ" FROM "NTGTFF" SYNDROME !!!
  4. Not to worry "tig" I've a plan on solving the issue. There's air, cylinders, accumulator, compressor and a 24" square roof vent. Ah that's already been done, "Bond James Bond" had something similar. Back to the drawing board then
  5. Just checking Frank, are we still setting the pasenger seat as low as mine? I know you and I see fine, but the " tig " may be miffed stairing at the glove box I've had a few deliveries for you to peruse and let me know if I need more grounding
  6. Get the point, I'm just heading back to the unit. Kebab tucked away so best crack on with the RA. Just bring breakfast with you!
  7. Good seeing you again Russel, always a pleasure. The "weight challenged one" AKA Barry is self employed, not employed by me. I help Barry out with work facilities and he helps me out big time, everytime and on time. So sadly S W Motorsport is only me, but helped by two mates (Baz an Fraz ) who are very passionate about motoring. The " tig meister" AKA BAD BAZ should gets some pics up and show his skills off. It's about time he went into full time employment. Fraz is all about attention to detail, he keeps me grounded. Those that have seen my own motor will see his input I'm very lucky to have their skills and advice and of course the banter, without them I'm sure I'd struggle. Enough time spent here, need to figure out what size brake master cylinder I need to feed those brakes all 24 pistons. Steve.
  8. Hi Simon. Glad to see the beastie has awoken from it's coma. Speak soon. Steve
  9. Chris an iceberg clipped our boat and we had to abandon ship. Vacation extended till I've patched her up, someone let slip I use to work on frigates and subs. Barry's welding skills required here! Tweeks will need to wait till home.
  10. Duncan glad all's well. Just tuck some miles under it's belt, map and enjoy. Steve.
  11. Callum I've never felt so numb as when I received your call yesterday. My heart sank, I could'nt believe what I was hearing. Your voice told me how lucky you were to escape with your lives, I know it's only a car, but it was a one off. I've probably been in contact with S666OBY more than most, as I've looked after it for nearly 2 years. Today I could'nt look in to my storage unit as I knew what lay there. Callum my thoughts are with you mate. Steve.
  12. Not sure Colin. As Chris only uses it every 3 months, who knows?
  13. Never been there, but I know a man who has several times and it's fairly frequent. More so for peace of mind!!!
  14. Aye young Barry... I'm looking forward to a pickle more boost and of course the NOS !!!!!! Wonder if the figures will start with a 7?
  15. Colin we didn't manage high boost only 1.75 and no nos. then the gremlins reared their ugly heads!! Same problem you had on sunday injector plug!
  16. Barry I need to check the nos tomorrow on low boost, you availiable to hold my hand?
  17. Ah the Nos, I'm looking forward to takeing Frank out with it working. After finding the problem I took him out on low boost, and let's say he was feeling a tad queezy.
  18. We had a few issues during mapping, later traced to wireing problem on no3 injector plug. Even so Andy had a short window to check and remap Chris's car, still without NOS and running fairly low boost 1.7 I recall. 615/620 BHP were the figures it ran, still very impressive with a good deal more to come according to Andy. I agree the power doesn't tail of at the top end, it just keeps climbing. Oh and don't forget the NOS.
  19. Nah, Andy just fitted as per instructions in box.
  20. Mike your right that Frank's a genius, he's already planned Chris's next mods.
  21. My very thoughts! Andy had said we could be restricted by the airfilter size. Don't think we'll max it out tomorrow this time around.
  22. Alistair you were right we struggled with the new filter, just a tad bigger than the norm. Frankie boy came up with the perfect solution. He's always been pretty radical with his thoughts!!!!! Check out the finished results.
  23. I was getting worried a boot the moose
  24. The very man, thought you'd went awol.
  25. Barry any word from the fud, or has he left the planet?
