the way i see it is that they a really revenue cameras just incorrectly named. ill give you one guess to what my thoughts about them are!!! they dont reduce accidents or stop speeding any numty knows that and the people in power who think they are smarter than us seem to believe that they do work.. well they do if you ad being legally robbed to the equation. the only solution for safer roads is to put all drivers on 5 year safety assesment tests or something similar, it sorts the safe from the dangerous/hesitant. i drive 44 tonne trucks everyday of my life and have seen the number of dodgy drivers/idiots on our roads treble in the past few years and believe it or not most of them are not youngsters they are people who passed the old tests and have never heard of defensive driving or probably cant recite the highway code when asked and they normally cause accidents through poor observation, bad judgement and bad habits. speed always decides the outcome but never causes an accident, the driver does..... so there you have it this is why i consider so called safety cameras a total farce, apollogies to all the good drivers out there. as for the bad ones and speed cameras
