Is there anything I can do or any additional part that can increase the acceleration and speed. It is too slow

I want my 06 Impreza 1.5i JDM faster, so I got several mechanics opinion on upgrading to a EJ20 2.0L engine. I have gotten mixed results on my stock ECU limits. How to tell whats the limit on my ECU and if it can manage a EJ20 2.0L non-turbo engine. Desperately need an answer from anyone.
