Phoned them today and the max they will pay fo labour is £40 an hour, typical. Need to find a garage with cheaper labour rates

I bought my STi around 2 months ago and purchased a warranty from a company called momentum. The warranty cost £500. Anyway a couple of weeks ago the MAF sensor went and the CE light came on, I put it in to Ian Grieve in falkirk and they repaired it at a cost of £430. Ridiculous price but I just received a cheque from momentum for £380. Not sure why I have to pay £50 but I'll find out after Xmas, when I phone them. (Didn't want to ruin Xmas by having a rant on the phone today :-)) I still have 10 months warranty left so it looks like it I've done OK out of it. Saying that if I didn't have the warranty there's no way I'd have paid Ian Grieve's £430!

Had my 03 STi for 8 weeks now and loving it. However on Friday the engine management light came on so I headed straight for the dealer. I was informed it needed a new MAF sensor, total bill £430!!!!!!!!! WTF Luckily I bought a warranty when I bought the car. The company "momentum" have authorised the repair but are saying they will only pay £382, where they came up with that figure I've no idea. I knew running a Scooby wasn't going to be cheap but £430 for a sensor, your having a laff.
