again slow reply on my part due to me being away, and forgeting this was my first post on sidc I got a turbo 2000 in the end, its just hit 60k (service on monday at powerstation) and i have to say its so much fun. had a few niggly bits with a boost issue seems to come and go but it is nearly 10years old. had a few quotes including mods and they come up at a few hundred pounds more than i pay on my vectra so in my eyes not that bad at all. had major issues insuring my current mini due to all the mods so the scoobie should be a walk in the park. i think whatever i get will be going to cotswolds subaru for a look at then. if im reading the scoobypedia site properly, standard this model comes out at 218 bhp@5600 rpm according to the ad this is running at 260bhp now, which is no major rise, i have heard that after market cans/pipes can make the boost creep up so that something to watch. think a call to cotwolds for a bit of info and their opinion will be the best plan cheers all for the info so far guys

that helps a lot, as it all helps in the bartering my drama is im only 23 with 2 years no claims so cant go down the import route as that puts insurance at 2k+

i can see a pattern forming here on the price, what sort of price would be more resonable for this car? should it be mechanicly sound and nothing untoward of course cheers for the welcome, and for the info i shall give them a call in the morning.
