iam looking for a jap import sti prefered but seen this http://www.harwoodmotors.co.uk/cardetails.aspx?id=182 so iam thinking ok its an wrx type ra but surely it doesnt have the prefered sti engine for reliabilty so iam thinking at almost 6k i should hold out for a regular sti or sti type ra or type R as i c ant see any good reason to get a wrx whats your thoughts? oh can this take any more boost or would i be best leaving i standard as its a wrx engine? is it really only the jap stis that can take a bit nore boost safely?

my luck in buying cars is awful trying to find out as much as possible before buying one. one thing i learned is buy a car with descent brand of tyres and a folder full of receipts at least someones spent money on it before you lol. is there many old age stis at the meets? you dont see many for private for sale its mostly from stealers.but plenty of the normal uk ones though.

hi there never owned a scooby before but quite fancy an sti in salooon or sportwagon 2-5k the cheaper the better.as a 2nd car.would this price rang only cover the classic shapes? what would be the starting price for an import sti? where do i get parts from when it fooks up? can someone on here tell me what to look for? what are the common things to check that go wrong? what to check that give an indication of the life its had?anything in particular thats likely to fook up?or anything in particular to look for being a jap import? is there something like an auction report that comes with the car when it was sold in japan what sre the grades i should consider? and what differnt models are there in this price rang and what do they mean? how can i tell its a real sti and not an wrx with sti seats and wheels etc. is there a buyers guide on here? man you know what its like when you havent owned one then you go and buy it and it starts to fall apart and you find out the hard way then you wish you just asked on here in the first place lol thanks! or anyone in the strathclyde south lanarkshire glasgow area care to show me theirs and give me the lowdown that would be great!

iam looking for a weekend toy/2nd car either wagon or saloon looking for the import sti because it makes good power standard and can take modifications well iam not into show and shine. it would be good for someone to show mwe over their car so i know what a normal one looks like and so i can compare to one iam looking to buy if its not that fast or making a strange noise etc.
