only got the points in may !! 6 1/2 years of driving with nothing, then got caught doing 85mph on the motorway at 1:30 am !! so they wont come off for around 5 years !! think i might have to look into getting a WRX as they seem to be about £800 cheaper on insurance than the STI !! dont think i could lower myself to getting a sport, they are just too basic !!

really ?? never knew that !! i dont really wanna have to get a sport though, as its not what i want !! i thought getting older was helping with insurance, but seems i was wrong !! insurance is a joke isnt it !!

Im looking at getting an Impreza soon, so thought id do some insurance quotes to make sure i can get covered !! and it seems that i cant !! Im 24 with 5years ncb and an SP50, and im getting quotes of £2500 upward !! is this normal ?? also, which insurance companies are Subaru friendly as i need to make sure i can get a decent insurance quote before i start looking to buy !!! help needed please !! cheers, tom.

so the STI's are JDM imports ?? and WRX's and Uk models ?? so if i went for an STI it should have been undersealed ?? and had a re-map to run uk fuel ?? and whats the problem with the shocks ?? do them just fail and need replacing ?? im still learning, so please dont abuse me for all the questions im asking !!

That link is really good, cheers mate !! But its brought up another question. In one section, it says that you have to check for rust as the car might not have been undersealed ?? is this true ?? Also, does this just apply to imports or actuall UK models ?? or are all imprezas imported ?? (you can tell i know nothing about imprezas cant you !! ) cheers, Tom.

Hello everyone. As ive just registered, thought it would be best to introduce myself !! Im Tom, and im from Manchester. Ive just broken my Peugeot 106 RALLYE track car so im on the look out for something better !! Unfortunately i dont own a Subaru yet, but im looking into getting one in the near future so thought it would be best to join a club and get a little info !! Thats where you lot come in !! Firstly, what should i look out for when looking at an Impreza STI ?? Im looking and getting a 2003-05 model (the one between the bog eye and hawkeye models !!) Also, does milage matter that much ? Obviously ill be getting as lower milage one as possible, but does high milage matter that much if its been looked after and serviced properly?? Finally, as i know little about Imprezas at the moment what are the main differences between the WRX and STI models ?? And what exactly does the ProDrive pack actually add to the car ??
