We are in bishopbriggs, plenty of rear impreza brake shoes done without problem, the poll has a spring over one end if that is missing it may cause the problem

Where are u located? The shoes need to bed in on the drum face as it is smooth to start with and the friction surface will rough it up

If its new shoes and discs they will need to bed in then be re adjusted, I have seen a cable being tight at the front and the rear moving with no effect on braking being caused by the retaining springs being too tight on the backing plate

The sandwitch plate is fitted at the oil cooler ring anyway so temp will be slightly lower, If the heat gets into the 200s you would be better buying a new engine lol my skyline cooked the oil while drifting about in the homebase carpark and caused leaks on sump, rear crank, and a melted alloy rod on number 5 cylinder, oil pressure gauge went to red and the thing just chucked it

The oil temp can reach 200 degrees, fully synth 5w40 Will start boiling at about 230c 30 grade about 225c

Guys im getting fed up with the SIDC being slated for downfall on other forums, Personally I think the club will grow stronger and flourish due to this new change of the forum, It means the forum will be used by real people with a real passion for the club, like minded people chatting about what they love and if that is their passion they wouldnt mind paying 20 quid for it, after all its 14 litres of v power or 4 sunbeds or a case of stella if thats what you are into, Its time to get this club absolutely jumping again so spread the word, the benefit is the people you will get to know on here not a sticker or membership card its the friends, you would join a dating site if u are lonely, why not join the sidc its simple.
