I found few topics what could be compatible but no one phisicly connect different ECUs to the car (or i can not find this brave guy ) - mainly all 3 plugs ECU got nearly the same pinouts - difference between JDM and Europen is pin for fuel pomp and switched cam and crankshaft sensors pins - thats all what i found.. will be great when someone can give the technical info about hardware configuration under the bonnet for the specific cars - what the differences are... What i think (it's only my mind) that it should be possible to use the orydinary JDM ECU from the same year for UK car (JDM is for 100 RON fuel - UK 97 ... that the ignition advance is less in UK for safty reason)... For any technical info i will be grateful.
  2. Thats what about ECU 75 and 8S ?? Or anything compatible with 8S - 3 plugs from 1998 UK turbo wagon ? 75 is from STI 1998 3 plugs as well - the question is what the difference in engine hardware setup...

It's exactly - 1998 Turbo UK Wagon -> 8S ECU got 3 plugs Some of pics HERE - the bottom ones when i fitted APEXI SAFC - now it gone becouse i try to fit SMT5 - it nearly works - i can retard ignition advance but when i try to advance it losing ignition at all ..... and the base retard with pluged in SMT5 is 2 degres that it not helping. That i would like find other way to change setting - like fit ECU from STI or from other mappable or chipable .... I will add pic whit ECU pinout for my car ... the Word document HERE Cheers
  4. Hi all. Anyone knows the compatibility list of ECU for the before 1999 cars ? Scoobypedia got only table from 1999 Main question is - is any other ECU comp. with 8S ? What about 75 ? Cheers
