yes the car has a dump valve fitted, i think its a baileys not sure, but will check during the day time, also will have a good scan for any loose hoses! the boost gauge fitted, is showing around the 0.8 boost.... over the week end im gana try boosting it hard in every gear to see if the problems occours in lower gears aswel.. hopefully i should have more information for you guys, for nows thanks for the replys. cheers

yes thats correct if i accelarate hard, it does bounce back, with a loud bang! no i dont have a bleed valve. also recently ive realised i can smell abit of fuel when ever i park up!! the clocks are in mph, yes there is a air filter fitted, ive been adviced to give it a clean, but im sure that wount be causing these problems, would it?

the car was de-restricted when i brought it, the day we brought it, 135mph wasnt a struggle for the car! the sti intercooler fitted i think its of one of the classic sti, but not 100% sure to be honist!

hi i need advice about my car..i have a classic wrx on a 1994...its a import, recently ive had a de-cat down pipe fitted, also a sti intercooler fitted replacing the standard one above the engine. when i brought the car, it never gave me any problem going over 100mph...when i brought the car we got 135mph out of it just to check if it was ok top end speed! not a problem! BUT since having the above parts fitted. (The problem) - if im in my 4th gear and i push the revs past 5000rpm, it seems like its restricted, and bonces back, but i know it never did that before! even in 5th gear at times i can get over 110mph, but at times it re-bounds as soon as it goes to 110mph! not forgetting theres also a loud bang when ever it bounces back! even at low gears, if i pull of in 1st gear, or 2nd gear at low speed it seems like theres a misfire, and seems to hold back for a sec or soo.. hope you guys can give me advice, as im worid to take my car on the motorway now!!

yes the boost now is 0.9....and i did have a sti intercoller fitted as my intercoller pipe was nakerd, soo i replaced the whole intercooler and pipe as i got it very cheap, and yes i can hear to turbo every time it kicks in, thanks to the decat front pipe....

Thanks for the reply guys, i poped into "Scoobyclinic" earlier today, very helpful....after a good check over, the guys at Scoobyclinic fount 2 faults...intercooler pipe had a crack...also my boost gauge was faultly, it ws showing less boost then it was running..while i was there i got a de-cat front pipe fitted. results very noticeble... if you havent been to Scoobyclinic, i would recommend it all day long..

Hi, ive got a Subaru wrx on a L - reg import, was woundering what boost should i be running my car at? on my boost gauge is showing max boost is 0.4...But ive a had another L-reg wrx in the past, that was alot quicker in pick up, and the boost was amazing, but with this Scooby i got, i dosnt feel strong enough when the turbo kicks in. soo is 0.4 Boost ok for my car, or is it running low? what would a remap do?

Hi all, my friends brother house got broken in on the 24 - Aug - 09, between 8.30pm-9.30pm, the robbers took off with afew electric goods from in side of the house, they also got hold of the keys for the Bmw X5, they also took off with the Mot and insurance documents of the X5. The X5 was taken from Heckmondwike, asmall area of Dewsbury. The X5 was a black 2002 model, 3.0d SPORT AUTO, black..it also had a private plate "N444 DDY" please keep your eyes out. cheers

Im 26 no NCB, i live in a high risk area, im paying £450 fully comp on my classic imported wrx, includes all mods on the car..... ok the only way ive got it that cheap, ive got a partnership in a motor trading bussiness, soo my traders policy covers my car...if it wasnt for my traders cover, id be looking in the region of £1500 ish....

thanks guys, the car needs alittle attention to make perfect in my book...going inot the spray shop to get touched up, also going in for a major service...it should be hitting the road some time in September, until then its taking a big break in the garage.. hey Padgo, where in Nottingham you from?
