To Anyone could anyone tell me the difference between the different coloured badges on MAF Sensors, ie, Green, Orange, Purple, Blue, and can they be interchanged between different types of Subarus ie, a WRX to a WRX STI, or a UK model to a JDM model. Regards Nick

Hi all, very new to this site, i recently joined yesterday and posted a topic on the introduction forum, however i have a small problem, i have recently bought a 98 V4 WRX STI and very nice it is and well pleased until it started a curious misfire / hesitation on very light throttle, i have read many posts on this forum regarding similar issues, and i have completed all the relevant test's including the CE light using the 2 x black connectors under the dash, no fault codes showing, does anyone have any suggestions, i'm off to a scrappy today to see if i can get an O2 sensor to see if that may cure the problem, and also can any one tell me the difference between the colours on the MAF sensors, would it make a difference using a green one as opposed to using an Orange one Your Technical skills and Knowledge are required Nick

Hi to everyone, i have been browsing on here for some days now and have found it to be extremley helpfull as i have recently joined the Ranks of Subaru ownership a V4 WRX Sti (98), however it has created a nasty jerking sensation under very light throttle, nail it and it goes like a scud, yet try and drive sensibly ie, around town it bouncy's around like a demented wallaby. I have looked for a code using the 2 x black connectors and nothing has appeared, nice steady constant flashing, i have checked all pipes for any leaks, the DV is clear and free, HT leads are ok and good colour on plugs does anybody have any suggestions as i am a little baffled, also what is the difference between the colours on the MAF Sensors. I look forward to your knowledgeable help Nick
