  1. Sounds like you would be better cutting your losses and changing your ecu to a speed density one like simtek or syvex as these don't use maf sensors therefor no longer need to replace. Check AndyF website for more info. Plenty people now running these ecu's I have simtek in mine as daily driver and it drives great. Hth

  2. I totally agree with Peter ^^^^

With the previous one a map refresh? Ehh never heard of that unless it was only on a running in map? Maybe? Only 1.2 bar means it probably a chocolate 2.5 that's in it and will not take much more boost!

Vf36 would be interesting but as peters says would need the supporting headers and up pipe and downpipe, but done properly this would be an awesome road car with quick spool and a ton of torque probably about 360ish bhp should be achievable but again kill the box quickly! I prefer the 1st one as it has potential but the second for the reason above( plus the graphics are not to my taste).

  3. On the face of it looks nice a clean.

I would want to know : who built the engine?

    Who mapped it?

Dyno graph or proof of bhp!

What turbo ?injectors? As these will tell you if it has been done to a budget or eBay special(nothing against eBay). Standard box maybe ok at 350bhp but the torque of a 2.5 will kill the 5speed quickly!!

It still has 4 pots on the front which will scare the life out of you if you use the car in anger!!

It has a replica 22b front bumper and as Colin says why?? Mod or repair!!

I have same version and it's getting pretty old now so look out for rust!!

And as I was told by many people gold wheels white car looks c@@p but what the hell do they know!!

    Best of luck

  4. Would like to say a big thanks to all the guys and gal through at Hypertech,

had the car booked in for a dyno run, new rear arb and alignment check.

The car did well on the dyno a healthy 332.3 bhp and 310 ftlb with good fueling and boost curve.

Next came the 24mm adjustable Whiteline arb to replace my 22mm adjustable arb, you Duncan and the apprentice set about changing that and also put on some new Whiteline locking thingies that stop the bar moving around!!

Then it was time for the alignment: the car was fitted with BC coilovers back end of last year but only had a laser alignment done to make sure all was pointing in the correct direction. It was close.....no not really!!

    before:

front left -1.41 camber right -1.14

    -0.15 toe -0.17

    3.41 caster 3.33

rear left -1.34 camber right -0.58

    0.04 toe 0.13

    After:

Front left -0.53 camber right -0.56

    0.00 toe 0.00

    3.41 caster 3.33

Rear left -1.37 camber Right -1.36

    -0.01 toe -0.02

I thought the car handled pretty good before as the last time we were at Kames it was good but.....

Now its PLANTED like i have never felt before!!!!

So again massive thanks to Hypertech 01324 812 212 for all their help on a rather damp Saturday morning!!

    Thanks

    Graeme.
