  1. Tissy - Channel 5, Police Interceptors 19:54 chasing a Ford Orion!!!! Claire saw a P1 silver subaru star stickers down either side (in black) pulling out onto Sevenoaks Way, Orpington from Homebase this morning, she did wave but the lady just looked at her (she probably looked a bit special)
  2. Thanks for all your help and advice guys, don't want you thinking I've been ungrateful by not replying. I am still very interested in getting the car detailed and have had a few quotes, but unfortunately its £500 I don't have at the moment. Going to have a good go at DIY'ing by hand (not using a machine polisher) and will have to work some overtime to get the extra money in to get it done professionally IF the DIY doesn't do it.
  3. Cheers for the help guys, been looking at all the advice that you've linked me to and I think I know where I'm going... First stop, buy the decent materials Second stop, hope and pray for a decent weather day preferably when I'm NOT working But could someone let me know of any local firms that do the detailing professionally incase the missus has a go at this when I'm not looking
  4. Hi Haven't posted here in ages, but I know you guys n gals to be ever helpful and from the same neck of the woods as me so hope to get some suggestions on this one. I got my RB320 back in December 08 and it has some swirls on the paint work. I've washed the car loads and got it nice and gleaming but haven't polished it cause I've been researching into the best products to use etc I've always used jet wash, sponge and bucket on all previous cars without problem, but now I'm reading everywhere that the sponge and leather method could be the culprit I'm looking to get the car polished up professionally and been looking into mopping and detailing - contacted one company that do 2 stages of detailing only to be told that this wont get rid of the swirls?!?!? Can anyone suggest anywhere I can get a good job done - I live in Orpington. Cheers Les
  5. Saw a very clean looking Blue STI blob shape on Sevenoaks Way, Orpington this evening.. didnt see any of the reg cause it was sandwiched in traffic - got a little wave, responded with a nod in my RB320, missus in the front trying not to point and look obvious and her work friend in the back completely oblivious to what was going on outside of texting her boyfriend!! How ashamed am I at the state of my car after seeing that one
  6. Happy Birthday hun From both Claire and myself
  7. A German guy approaches a prostitute and says I vish to buy sex vit you' 'OK' says the girl, 'I'll charge 100 dollars an hour' "Ist goot, But I must varn you, I am a little kinky" "No problem' she replies cautiously, 'I can do a little kinky" So off they go to the girl's flat, where the German produces four large bedsprings and a duck caller. 'I vant you to tie ze springs to each of your limbs.' The girl finds this very strange, but complies, fastening the springs to her hands and knees. 'Now you vill get on your hans and knees.' She duly does this, balancing on the springs. 'You vill please blow zis vistle as I make love to you.' She finds all this very odd, but figures it's harmless, and the guy is paying. The sex is fantastic. She is bounced all over the room by the energetic German, all the time honking on the duck caller. The climax is the most sensational she has ever experienced, and it is several minutes before she has recovered her breath. Finally she gasps 'That was totally amazing....... what do you call that?' 'Ah', says the German, 'Four-sprung duck technique'
  8. I'd better start working some rest days (overtime) so I can afford to go to this
  9. Speechless fella, absolutely speechless!!! Claire on the other hand is incensed by the position you've been left in and has spent the past couple of minutes ranting about what this guy has done to your car... I do hope for my earholes sake you intend to get them to pay for the damage they've caused. If I was that person I would be locked away in my house hiding from you in fear of my head being bounced all over the place!!!
  10. Seen quite a few scoobies yesterday and today, but then again I was at Larkfield dealership Have to say though, was quite upset to see a very nice blue X reg parked up in the forecourt with front nearside damage unfortunately we were being walked round the back to collect my car so only got a quick look and Claire and I are undecided as to whether it was a P1 or an RB5 - apologies to the owner if you're on here and sympathies for the damage to your car, I would have cried if it was mine!!
  11. Hi ya, Claire speaking (just so he dont get the back lash haha) Been thinking about your dilemma and have read all the advise you've been given here and my thoughts, for what they're worth, are this. You need to think about how much your job means to you the way it is just now, cause if you say something to her or the boss and it doesnt go well (which is how it should but often doesnt) you could end up being made to feel very uncomfortable Sounds as though you've already attempted to speak with the silly moo concerned, but as found out on the deadline you were set to work on together, there's nothing go on between the ears and so it doesn't make any difference. Personally I'd go one of two ways here - confront her the next time she's bragging and make it clear to all concerned that she slacked off and left you to bust a gut to meet the deadline, or go straight to the boss and take your chances with the result but make it CRYSTAL CLEAR to him/her you are making a complaint!! But there is of course your 3rd option - to stay quiet and ignore her, she will get hers!! Its not a nice place to me for you I'm sure, but once you've had the chance to read through whats been written and decided on your course of action, I'm sure everyone will agree we wish you the best of luck and let us know how you get on.
  12. Claire is dying to try out number 10 - I refuse to go shopping with her!!!!
  13. Claire posting here: Saw a silver 'classic' (I think thats how you refer to them ) K reg, female driver, pulling out of Homebase carpark, Sevenoaks Way, then turned left at the mini roundabout and headed down Sandy Lane, Orpington. Considered letting you out for a split second, then thought NAH I wana go first LOL Soz, nice car though!!!! If you are on here and did see me, I was the one gawping at you from the drivers seat of the silver Mini Cooper
  14. Is that the subtle way of telling PR08RAD (sorry don't know your name) that the car's been nicked and they've left the wheels LOL
