  1. Has anyone here ever fitted a blouch 16g turbo ???? Just fitted one to my 95 wrx and it doesn't appear to be boosting as much as the standard turbo did.... My question is, even though the car is set up with a simtek ecu and was making close to 330bhp on the original 16g turbo do I need to have the ecu re-mapped again for the new turbo. I know I do to make more power but as a like for like swap should it make the same kinda of power as before or is the actuator which on mine I believe is set at 9psi the reason it doesn't boost as much even through the ecu is programmed for about 18psi.   2. Not gas sniffed it since . Rad was fitted late yesterday, I test drove this morning , but I had pressure / steam coming out the top of the radiator bottle. Luckily I had a metal header tank so that was fitted today and a mechanic test drove it and he said it all seemed fine and no coolant was leaking. I'll test drive it myself tomorow when I'm back in work and will update here again

I topped it up, till the water came out the top, squeezed the pipes a couple of times and then the water level dropped so I could put more in, then thermostat opened so I was able to add more water I did this until I saw water in the expansion tank . Road tested but no hot air, undid the bleed valve thing on the rad and loads of air came out and a few bubbles etc was seen in the header tank. Hot air returned to the car. Driving car that evening to the mot station 15 miles away, hot air was going cold again, mainly on tick over and returned when driven or revved a bit. Had the mot and came home again. Next day I undid the rad cap squuzed the pipes and revved it a few times again a few bubbles came out and the coolant rise up and poured out the header tank, hot air then returned. I then was driving home about a mile or so, and before I got back the air went cold and I noticed the coolant had gone. I topped it up and realised it was being pushed out the expansion tank when being driven or revved

  4. I noticed my car was heating up quicker than normal and to a higher temp, the guage would drop a bit if I had the heating on. I've taken the thermostat out which was stuck shut under tests so a new one was refitted. Result car warmed up normal'ish pace and was once again circulating the radiator, but I couldn't get the heating to work properly, it kept going from hot to cold under revs. Now when I hold the revs it pressurises the water and it forces it all out the expansion tank..... What could this be ?????

  5. I have a 95 wrx with a de-cat downpipe and mid section and blitz nurspec rear. Needless to say it is rather loud, but unfortunatly has a bit of a rasp to it. What i want is a really loud but deep exhaust note, i have heard some going around thats perfect but i can never find out what system they are running, also the newer shape models some seem to be louder than mine and they still retain a middle silencer and cat. Any suggestions would be good.
