  1. Hey Gary, Welcome to the club! I'm in Leighton Buzzard too! I have an '08 GB270 and I'll give a wave should I see u!
  2. Get the HKS SSQV, sounds the nuts and is the creme de la creme. Worth the xtra outlay and doesn't leak like some (I've heard about some probs with the Bailey).
  3. Yep, looked mint, alongside the blue one. IMO it was outshone by the Zonda R, that's a beast. Highlight for me was the Lambo SV!
  4. I quite agree, wasn't keen on the red in last night's top gear and Evo has the new convertible in brown! There were three (if memory serves me correctly) black ones at last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed and they looked immense!
  5. Thanks for that, I always appreciate feedback on the mods for my motors. U know Ferrari and Porshe keep releasing clothes and other items, well in these credit crunch times I can't afford to buy the clobber so I thought I'd get a car to match my clothes instead: Before I do the spoiler and splitter I wan't to get the exhaust sorted to release that Austin Metro burble. May go conservative with this system: But, to be honest, my heart is set on this:
  6. Just caught my Scooby's reflection in a shop window a few minutes ago (que wolf whistle)!
  7. If you thought GB270s had paint issues you should check out my other car:
  8. Depends on price really, GB270 was something of a bargain new so you'd hope it'd be cheaper second hand like for like. To counter what has been said by others GB270 better looking (lower with silver grill and very smart 18" wheels) and has more torque and non of that naff pink cack
  9. How much is your budget?
  10. Hi there! I had my GB270 serviced at the beginning of the month. It was £250 which wasn't the cheapest main dealer around but went for the one with the best reputation (the other one was around £200 but seeing that they managed to dent the car TWICE when it was in for it's 1,000 mile service I, strangely enough, decided not to go back). My wife dropped it in and they had finished it within the hour. With regards to the knocking, I haven't experienced it myself thankfully but understand this to be an all two common problem with newish Scoobs. Hope this helps.
  11. And then again not entirely right, I think the lesson here (if I were to be as presumptuous as to offer such advice ) is to not have a sales email address and have your secutiry setting such as your customers' enquires are dumped into the junk folder.
  12. Thanks Neil and I'll have a good look through your response and will be in touch. Perhaps this has been a good thing because anyone else who has had problems just needs to persevere. Stu
  13. Hi Neil, Not my intention to open up a can of worms here and I can confirm to the other readers here that I have used Scoobyworld twice before to my complete satisfaction (hence why I was looking to get more work done). Just thought it odd not to get any replies (and yes I did use the email address you mention). Pleased to hear that business is good and I noticed from your website that you have expanded operations so congratulations on that. Matty WRX: I'm sure your goods will arrive and enjoy! Which one you buying? I got an HSK SSQV from Scoobyworld last year and love it!
  14. Hey Skillfudge, Thanks for the advice and, indeed, I will hang in there. When I refer to four figure mods I'm talking in excess of £1,000 not £10,000 because that would be a five figure mod
  15. Hi guys, Just a quick question. Have any of you had any dealings with Scoobyworld recently? Reason I ask is that I've sent them a couple enquiries over the last three weeks for various bits and bobs for my Scoob and have heard nothing in return. I would have expected in this economic climate independent companies would be desperate to take up offers of work that will involve four figure sums of money Thanks people
  16. How did you get on? As you can probably guess from my replying to something that's a couple of months old I haven't been on here for a while! Weren't you the kind gentleman who gave me lots of good advice when I was exhaust hunting? I can feel a trip to Scoobyworld coming on myself rather soon.
  17. Hi guys, been reading this thread with a keen interest. Can you tell me whether one needs to tell insurance group about changing the pannel filter? Thanks very much
  18. Surely a Focus RS, I think it looks simply stunning in green. 'Fraid to say it folks but I reckon that revoknuckle thing may make 4x4 a bit obselete BTW not been on here for ages (internet filter at work) so want to say a returning "hello"
  19. One of the items I ended up buying my Scoob is a set of Prodrive alloy wheel caps http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=250333811128. Now having a look at the wheels, am I going to have to take the wheels off to pop the old caps out or is there an easier way? Cheers guys!
  20. Sorry to hear you're having probs, mine's handling like a dream so yours is def something that should get sorted by Subaru!
  21. I's say about 50/50 but I tend to need to do the waving first. Classics mainly are best and bug eyes are the worst!
  22. Very sorry to hear that and I hope things pick up soon!
