I've only had my (16") T1-Rs on for a day and I'm happy with them already. I had them on my last car (they really managed to tame my 160+bhp Metro with LSD (not an easy task)) and liked them so stuck with what I knew for the impreza. They are dealing with the muddy lanes really well although I doub't they'll last a year.

Tyres are strange, what seems to work in one size doesn't work at all in another. I've bought tyres in one size before and found them great, then bought the same type for another car in a different size and they've been utterly useless. Maybe T1-Rs work on classic 16"s so people recommend them but not on 17/18"s where they get slated.
