  3. OH DEAR!!! Learn to drive first mate, Don't take that as a diss! Passing your test is just the first step of many you will take, It only means that you are "SAFE" with a... I dunno, what did you pass in....... a 1.5 disesal withy 65Hp? Do you really want a scoob or just want a "fast" car Get a Saxo and do it up the same as all the rest of the boy racers. A loud exhaust & a decent set of rims. That'll be more of a "magnet" than some corpse lying in a box All these posts say the same...Listen to them, They may save your life ..........OR SOMEBODY ELSES !!! J
  4. Sorry to hear about that m8, It's never nice Give ACAS a ring and they will let you know what's right and what's not. They work both for employers and employees so are totally unbiased (supposedly!) http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=1611 J

  8. Hi guys, any info on what's going on here? Just got a new clutch fitted. I know that the heat sensor on the CAT got damaged during the refit & the warning light is on, That's understandable. The main issue is that on idle, the CEL shows up! If I even just touch the throttle slightly, it goes out. have checked all fluids as I thought it may be low on oil pressure or similar, but all seems OK. Any ideas or is it a take to the garage job? J
  9. Thanks for the welcome & advice guys, I'll get the tool box hauled out J

  12. Hello all, Just bought my first scooby last month. A 94 JDM WRX. Any info please on a decent nearby garage / mechanic for me. I'm in Lanark and have a nice oil leak dripping onto my exhaust manifold! Any help greatly appreciated John
  13. What gets my goat is that it's illegal to have a phone conversation, but it's ok for the cops to use their radios! Some will say that the passenger does the talking, How about in England where there is only one in a car? If I am right (probably not ) it's not the dialling that causes lack of concentration, its supposed to be the conversation. Will it soon be illegal to chat with a passenger? J
  14. Hi all, Just bought my first scooby and loving it! I always was going to get either a scoob or a skyline, but after doing the Mcrae gathering with StrikE......I WAS SOLD ON THE SCOOBY! Also knowing the McRaes from school helped a little with my decision! Ended up with a MY94 JDM. It seems ok, But had a leak from under the steering pump reservoir which hopefully we fixed tonight. Got it cleaned up and will check for new oil drips tomorrow! No doubt I will be leeching for more info in the future John
